Pet care experience
Welcome to Karen's K-9's " Where your pet feels at home". We pride ourselves on offering a home-like atmosphere in our finished basement where your fur baby can romp and play or just lounge on the furniture as if they were at home. We only accept dogs that get along well with others to foster our dog-friendly home-like atmosphere. Minimal crating occurs during meals, afternoon naptime and bedtime. I know how our pets are our family and I strive to make your fur baby feel at home and a part of the family. I am very attentive to your pet’s needs. I love dogs and have experience with various breeds as I have had dogs since I was a child. I have experience with giving medications and I am CPR certified by the Red Cross in dog and cat CPR.

Karen is awesome with my baby Pitbull! She sent plenty of photos and updates, and she has a great backyard for him to play and get out all his energy. Communication was great. No complaints and will definitely continue to book. Your pup is in great hands with her!
She took good care of my dog Milo, she sends pictures and give you updates everyday on how Milo was doing, Milo felt right at home there..,I will definitely use her again to watch Milo.

I have a fenced yard and 2 friendly, super social pups. They are neutered and up to date on shots and love to play with other dogs. Dogs are family at my house. Allowed on bed and furniture.

Does your dog(s) get along well with other dogs? Are they crate trained? Minimal crating is done during meals, naptime and bedtime. Can your dog handle walking up and downstairs? There is a steep set of stairs to enter the basement so if stairs are an issue for your baby this may not be the best fit for them. Is your fur baby ok with going outside in the rain? Let me know if your fur baby has any special needs. We can discuss your needs and hopefully accommodate your baby.
A typical day
Your fur baby will have fun-filled days at Karen’s K-9s in our totally dog-friendly home and 6ft fenced yard. Every morning we wake and head outside for a morning potty break. We return inside for pets, cuddles, and a little light play. Then, we start breakfast. I prefer to offer meals in crates just to be safe as food can cause aggression in normally non-aggressive dogs. After breakfast, we are out for more pets, cuddles, and play. We run around the 6-foot fenced yard with all our newfound friends. We play chase, fetch, and tug-o-war. After playing outside we come back in to cool down and relax. Karen plays Alexa for us and we listen to all types of music. Soon it's time for lunch for those who are fed 3 times a day and afternoon naps for all. After lunch and naps, it's back outside for a potty break and playtime until dinner. After dinner, it's back outside for potty and play, then back in to cool down and relax as we get ready for bedtime. Karen is sure to keep you updated throughout the day with pictures and texts so you can see how much fun we are having!
