Pet care experience
Held a security clearance for over 26 years. I've been boarding, house sitting, dropping in, walking, and running with dogs for over 3 years now. I also provide cat care. Open to other duties as assigned (mail collection, plant and/or pool/spa care, garbage/recycling, snow clearing, etc.)

Karen did a terrific job doing a drop-in visit on our Bernedoodle while my wife and I did a day trip to Chicago. Karen checked in with us and sent a photo of our dog while she was taking him for a walk. Thank you Karen!
Karen was fantastic! She watched my little old man Bichon while I went to a wedding. She even put up with his weird behavior of sitting on furniture that isn't meant for sitting. All in all I would absolutely recommend for all pet watching needs!

We needed someone to watch our dog while we were on vacation and since our dog does not do well around other animals, boarding him at a traditional kennel was not a good option. I found Karen on Rover and she was a perfect match! We were able to board our dog at her home, where there are no other animals, and he was able to receive 1:1 attention while we were away. Karen took great care of him and sent updates/pictures daily. I would definitely book with her again!

Safe Shadowood neighborhood in Battle Creek. I have a fenced yard with good safety latches on the gates. I have a pool with a safety cover off-season (newly added 3ft safety barrier-see photos). I heat with a solar cover, so house sitting while it’s open is not feasible unless you live nearby. Dogs are not allowed on the pool covers or in the pool. Dogs must stay on leash during a meet-n-greet, as the Rover guarantee does not apply. I do not own any pets or have children, and live alone. I can only adequately supervise 1 dog at a time around the pool. Bi-level home with carpeted stairs. It has been marked, so if that’s a potential issue, please look elsewhere.

Meet & greets are $25 if I have to travel to you. Please leave written instructions, any rules, etc. on kitchen counter or in overnight bag. If you have multiple pets, label food, dishes, and anything else that is separate. Crates appreciated if used regularly, thanks!
A typical day
My neighborhood (Shadow Wood) has nice recently paved roads; they will see and hear many other dogs, bicyclists, and golf carts. Also enjoy the local North County trails. Tennis, softball, basketball, fetch, tug-of-war, chase, and wrestling are also popular at my house.

Availability
Slated to go back to work April 22nd, remote M&Fs. Golf league once/week, occasional sub, and like to ski locally on weekends. Membership Director of the Battle Creek Ski Club - we meet twice/month.
