Pet care experience
Retired until the next recruiter finds me. Held a security clearance for over 26 years. I've been boarding, house sitting, dropping in, walking, and running with dogs since before COVID hit. I also provide cat care. Open to other duties as assigned (mail collection, plant and/or pool/spa care, garbage/recycling, snow clearing, etc.). Prices are ajustable.

Safe neighborhood in Battle Creek. I have a fenced yard with good safety latches on the gates. I have a pool with a safety cover off-season. I heat with a solar cover, so house sitting while it’s open is not feasible unless you live nearby. Dogs are not allowed on the pool covers or in the pool. Dogs must stay on leash during a meet-n-greet at my house, as Rover does not cover those. I do not own any pets or have children, and live alone. I can only adequately supervise 1 dog at a time around the open pool. Bi-level home with carpeted stairs. It has been marked, so if that’s a potential issue, please look elsewhere. 4-wheel drive Jeep, so snow is not likely an issue to get to your fur babies.

I do my homework on your dog’s breed before they arrive. Please leave written instructions, any rules, etc. on kitchen counter or in overnight bag. If you have multiple pets, label food, dishes, and anything else that is separate. Crates, beds, toys, etc. appreciated if used regularly, thanks!
A typical day
My neighborhood has nice recently paved roads; they will see and hear many other dogs, bicyclists, and golf carts. Also enjoy the local trails. Tennis, softball, basketball, fetch, frisbee, tug-of-war, chase, and wrestling are also popular at my house. I’ve found You Tube videos to play on TV for dogs with separation anxiety.

Golf league couple evenings/week, and ski locally on weekends. Membership Director of the Battle Creek Ski Club - occasional meetings. 50 mile radius is for house sitting; drop ins or walks within 15 miles please.
