Pet care experience
I am the proud owner of 4 year old Golden Retriever mix named Bear. We recently said farewell to Dante after 13 years, giving me plenty of experience with elder dog care and administering medication. I also fostered a Chocolate Lab, Snickers, from Oct. 2012 - August 2014 whose family lost their home from Hurricane Sandy. In the past I have cared for my family's pets which consisted of 2 Maltese/Bichon dogs, large gold fish and salt water fish of varying kinds, so if you have other little friends like these in your home, I don't mind caring for them as well. Pets are family members, and I value the importance of that. I will love and care for your dogs as if they were my own, whether in your house or mine. I hope you'll trust when meeting me and introducing me to your family member(s) that you will see my open heart and know that they will be cared and loved in the time I'd be with them. I get down on their level and love to play, get them their exercise and meals on time. Please reach out with any questions and I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s).

Kara took great care of our three little dachshunds while we were away. I knew at our meet and greet that Kara was a perfect fit for the family and would provide loving and attentive care for our little dogs. I felt relaxed and confident they were in the best hands the whole time I was away. She sent quick texts and pictures every day. It was clear to see that my "babies" were quite content and very well cared for. I will call her again for sure!
Last weekend, Kara dog sat for my 3-year old Shih-Tzu, Bandit. This was our first time using an online site for a sitter, and we could not have been happier with the care and attention that Kara provided. Not only did she send picture message updates periodically, but she allowed Bandit free reign of her house (which included sleeping in her bed)! She responded within minutes of my online request, and was able to accommodate Bandit for 2 nights on short notice. Kara has 2 large dogs, and although Bandit was a bit nervous at first, they got along beautifully (I have the pictures to prove it)! I would definitely recommend Kara and would absolutely use her the next time we go away.
Hello all. My name is Chris. My family and I lost our home to Hurricane Sandy. Our chocolate Labrador (Snickers) has been in Karas foster care since late 2012. Kara has a big beautiful home and a black Labrador of her own (Dante). I am very happy with the care she provides. Our two dogs together make great companions. Kara is very proactive with keeping in touch with me about how Snickers is doing. Happy pictures of the pups help me feel secure that my best friend is well looked after. If you need assistance with a loving pet of your own don't hesitate. You will not be disappointed with Kara.

I love all breeds and am willing to care for within my home as long as your dog(s) have a positive reputation and experience with other dogs.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks I will take your dog(s) around my neighborhood, which is anywhere from a half-mile to a mile walk, and the dog(s) will have more free time out in the yard when weather is permitting. Your dog's sleeping arrangement In the home, either in the bedroom with us or where they choose within the home, or where you prefer. I have no objections to on the couch or on any of the dog beds currently in the home or provided by the dogs owner. I also have 2 large crates in which the dogs can spend the night in if necessary or can put safety gates to restrict them to one room if needed/preferred by owner. Direction expected from the owner on what the dog is accustomed to. Time I'll spend with your dog I plan to spend 6+ hours on weekends. During the week I do work, so I would be available in the morning prior to work, and upon return from work in the evening, unless I can schedule to work from home which would then be majority of the day.
