🐾Hi pet parents! My name is Kara and I’m an experienced and well-established pet care provider. I am currently available for pet care services in your home in Salem/Keizer and the surrounding areas. Exotic animals and livestock are welcome! Training and Experience: -Pet first aid certification -16+ years of home pet care service, 8 years of employment in training/boarding/grooming/daycare facilities, 1 year volunteering -Medication administration (injections, pills, liquids, vaccines, OTC medications) -Studied dog psychology and behavior at OSU -Open Paw certification from Willamette Humane Society -Grooming: nails, ears, anal glands, de-matting, face and feet trims -Knowledgeable about care practices for a wide range of species: dogs and cats in all stages of life, rabbits (pet and game), various rodents, sugar gliders, chickens, ducks, quail/pigeon/dove flocks, sheep, goats, 10+ species of reptile, feeder colonies (mice/bugs), arachnids, insects, and many species of aquatic animals, both indoor and outdoor.

Kara did a great job taking care of our boys, as always. She provided pictures throughout our trip and kept us up to date. The pets were all super relaxed and content when we got home...clearly we'll cared for.
Kara has been taking care of our cats for over a year. She is responsible, reliable and provides excellent care. We have an older cat who needs medication and she skillfully gives him his pills. I appreciate knowing my pets and home are well cared for while we’re gone. I would highly recommend Kara to anyone looking for pet sitting!

A typical day
Spaghetti and I like to go on walks at Minto Brown park, or the fenced dog area at Keizer Rapids Park. At home, we love to sleep, snuggle, and play with Spaghetti's friend Myers.

Availability
I currently work as a Direct Support Professional from 9am to 5pm on Sundays and 9am to 2pm on Wednesdays. My dog Spaghetti comes with me to work, dog care gigs, and almost everywhere else.
