Pet care experience
I have been watching and taking care of pets since I was 8 years old. I grew up with our family dog of 15 years, Trudy, but sought out pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors. I have house sat for families with dogs and cats. I have watched up to 6 pets at a time on multiple occasions. I also have experience administering insulin to diabetic pets. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience with birds, hamsters, horses, cows, fish, hermit crabs, and lizards.

Kara was fantastic! She was very responsive, communicative, and showed up every time, on time. She sent elaborate messages and lots of pictures of my two fur babies after every visit, which helped keep my mind at ease knowing they were being well cared for. I came home to two very excited, happy pups. I would definitely recommend Kara for your dog sitting needs!
Lots of pictures and great communication from Kara made us feel like our pups were being well taken care of! One of our pups is older and has several issues that Kara has willingly taken care of. Highly recommend Kara!
Kara was amazing with our boy Brody. Never once had to ask for a picture! She sends daily photo updates which my family loved. We’ve used Rover for other trips but we give Kara a 10/10 for sure! Thanks Kara for being so amazing with Brody ♥️

I live in a home in Clearwater with a fenced in yard. We have a great neighborhood for dog walks too. I spend my weekends leisurely and I would be able to provide plenty of adequate care on the weekends treating your pet as if it was my own. I have a rescue cat named Cheddar. He is roughly 6 and is the sweetest boy. He gets along with most dogs and cats. If need be he can be kept separately. We also have a dog named Finnegan or Finn for short. He is very docile and easy going. He is a miniature schnauzer mix. He goes almost everywhere with us and sleeps with us at night. Our other dog Oatmeal is about 4 and is a Jack-tese ( Jack Russell terrier and Maltese) she is so playful and sweet. Loves squeaky toys and tug of war. She also loves to be with us.

I definitely want to meet your pupper and let them meet me and our dogs Finn and Oates if they are staying with us. Just in case they’re shy and need additional meet and greets I’d be happy to do that too. Mainly I want to know all about your dog, likes and dislikes, any training words that are used, and their favorite spot for scratches! I have no preference on breed.
A typical day
I would love to do any fun activity your pet enjoys. Does your dog like to play fetch or tug of war? What about your cat? Do they like to play with a feather string or catnip mouse? Maybe your dog like to lizard hunt, I’d love to do something they enjoy to help them feel a little more comfortable about missing their people. I live close to several great dog parks, so dogs can play with other pups. They will also get good walks in too.

Availability
I currently work full-time from my home in Clearwater. I work from 9:00am to 5:30pm. I have flexibility to take breaks throughout the day. Since I work from home I am able to be pretty hands on.
