Hello, I’m Kara. I am a full-time pet/house sitter here in Las Vegas. I have 20 years experience working with a variety of different animals and in various situations. I am Licensed, Insured, Bonded, as well as first aid and CPR certified. I am always learning new ways to bond and care for all sorts of different animals. I have knowledge of various types of animal behaviors and how to interpret what your pet maybe trying to communicate. That way I can provide an experience that you and your pet will truly value. Do you need a little extra help during the day with a puppy or senior dog who needs frequent potty breaks? Have pets that need medicine at certain times of the day? Perhaps while you're at work, or busy running errands? Have you been hesitant on booking that much needed vacation? Hesitate no longer!! I’ve been very resistant to letting anyone else give my kitty of 15 years her insulin shots. Found Rover and chose Kara based on all the glowing reviews and her ability to administer the shots. Kara was outstanding! Seriously, we could not have asked for a better experience! She is incredibly kind and our other furbabys just love her too, especially our Maltipoo! She always arrived on time and kept us up to date with pictures and a recap of how things went. Because of this, we were able to finally get out of town for a few days for the first time in years! :) I would absolutely recommend Kara as she is kind, responsible, and professional. The next time we need to leave town we will absolutely be calling Kara for her services! You rock Kara!

I provide play time/exercise customized to your pet’s activity level. I be sure to let them out for plenty of potty breaks after playing and before leaving. Of course cuddles and belly rubs are always a given. Puppies and senior dogs sometimes require a little extra love and attention. While caring for them I am very attentive to their special needs. As each pet has their own personality they deserve care designed and customized to them. If your pet has a normal routine I would love to know what it is. Most pet parents leave a typed or hand written note with their pets routine.

A typical day
-Walks During walks we can encounter multiple different situations. I would like to know how well your dog walks on leash, as well as if they are reactive to certain things like; other dogs, cats, cars, bicycles, etc.? Please also keep in mind during summer in Vegas walks in the early morning or late evening are best for paws. If walks are needed during the hottest hours of the day, the walk may be shorter than 30 minutes. However, I will still provide 30 minutes of interaction with your pet. -Drop-in Visits These types of visits are best for meal time, if pets need medication, potty breaks and play time. If requested I will also provide a short walk during drop-in visits. -House Sitting I stay at your home to give your pet the most comfortable experience. This is the best option for pets that have a difficult time being boarded or adjusting to new surroundings. Pets are always more comfortable in a familiar setting, especially if that’s at home! They remain in their comfort zone while keeping to their normal routine. It’s also security for your home while you’re away. House sitting needs and expectations will vary for each pet parent and their pets. Please note because I do this full time, many of my clients book me throughout the day. I like to be available for them unless booked ahead of time in conjunction with overnights.

House Sitting • $150/night - Overnight with two 30min visits • Additional time $30/hr • Walks can be added for $25/30min walk - Care provided for up to four pets - 30 minute afternoon visit 12-2pm - 30 minute dinner visit 5-7pm - Overnight arrival 10-11pm - Morning departure 7-8am Includes - Meals - Water - Playtime - Cuddles - Pet waste clean up - Pictures and updates sent throughout visit - Medications/Vitamins administered - Insulin and/or other shots administered - Care customized to your pets needs - Home security checks - Plants watered (indoor and outdoor) - Mail and newspaper collected - I stay overnight in your home to give your pet the most comfortable experience for them. This is the best option for pets that have a difficult time being boarded or adjusting to new surroundings, as well as puppies and senior pets who are at a higher risk of contracting something from other animals. The number one reason, pets are always more comfortable in a familiar setting, especially at home! They remain in their comfort zone while keeping to their normal routine. I will love your pets like you do! Pictures and updates are sent throughout the entire stay.
