I grew up surrounded by many animals, as a kid I'd help my aunt tend to her outdoor cats as well as indoor ones. She's taught me how important it is to have respect for animals and to always consider what feelings they're conveying through their body language. Growing up we had dogs ranging from 8lbs-60lbs of varying breeds, the older I got the more I was able to help care for our pets and learn what it means to be a pet owner and how different it is to walk an 8lb miniature dachshund vs. a 60lb lab-mix. Our first family dog growing up was prone to seizures, pinched nerves, anxiety, and had dental issues that our family learned to work around and care for with him— I do have experience administering oral medicine to dogs but only small breeds thus far.
