Things I'd like to be aware of before I dog sit would be if they require medication and a tutorial on how the owner would like it to be administered; any habits that they have (peeing/pooping in the house, ripping bedding/pillows/etc, eating garbage, or etc); and if they are allowed on furniture (just so that they dont develop any habits after being at my home). Although I don't have breed preferences, I would prefer that the dog doesn't shed a ton. Since I still live with my family, I have to be considerate of my family's allergies as well as my own. With that being said, I don't mind a dog that sheds just as long as they don't shed tremendously.

If or when a dog stays with me, I would bring them on walks in my neighborhood, trails, or wherever the owner prefers. Activities that we could do depends on the type of dog and the weather outside. For example, for an elderly dog I could go on long walks or play with the ball inside the house. However, with an energetic young dog we could go on short runs or play ball in my fenced backyard.
