Hi! I'm Kara! I grew up around lots of animals, from large dogs to hamsters to farm animals. I even started my own neighborhood pet sitting business when I was ten! Throughout college, I volunteered at a dog rescue shelter and have experience pet sitting for many neighbors, family and friends. I love to keep animals active and entertained so they are happy and comfortable while you are away. Whether it's a long walk in the morning, playing fetch in the afternoon, or just cuddling on the couch, I hope to be your pet's next best friend!

I can't say enough about how wonderful Kara is! She sent daily updates with pictures and we were able to relax for 2 weeks knowing they were in such good hands. Our 2 big dogs obviously love and trust her 🙂 We highly recommend Kara!!

I strive to adopt your pet’s schedule and preferences so they have a sense of normalcy while you are away. I aim to spend as much time with your pet as possible, including a daily walk (or multiple!), play time with toys, or relaxing on the couch. I love spending time outside of the home on a walk or run to give your pet lots of fun experiences! I am very comfortable doing overnight says, drop in visits, or walks with any size dog. I have experience with long-term pet sitting for multiple animals. I am excited to have fun with your loved one! My goal is to keep your pet entertained, happy and comfortable while you are away. I am always available to contact over the Rover app or phone. I will check in once a day with fun pictures of our adventures but you are always welcome to contact me at any time!

Any triggers or resource guarding? How well does your dog stay home alone? Is there concern about separation anxiety?
A typical day
I love running and exploring outside, so I make sure to set aside plenty of time for outside adventures! I am always aware of my surroundings during a walk to ensure the safety of your pet. I also love to play fetch, enrichment games, or cuddle on the couch at home. I am happy to fit the needs and schedule of your pet! I strive to be open and honest about the activities we do, so please let me know if there is something specific that your pet loves or something we should avoid.

Availability
I am a full-time remote worker with a flexible schedule to allow for maximum attention to your loved one. I am happy to adapt to your pet's schedule and be flexible to fit their needs. I keep my weekend calendar up to date and will let you know of any conflicts before we book. Please let me know of any concerns and I am happy to address them!
