Hi! My name is Kapu, and I'm a Creative Movement Instructor and Writer. I'm proud dog lover and animal enthusiast! When I'm not teaching or creating, I love caring for furry friends. My precious mini beagle, Rafa, just passed away from cancer after a long and strong fight. I miss him dearly, and have lots of love to share with new furry friends looking for a vacation while their humans are away :) I have experience (walking, playing, and sitting) dogs of all sizes. And I really love working with all the dogs and all the personalities. Personally, I have extensive experience living and working with a dog with dietary issues, chronic illness and HIGH energy. Having seen my own beloved pup in pain and frustration has impressed upon me the importance that care and activity play in enhancing a dog's quality of life. Even when a dog is healthy, the role of exercise, play and stimulation in daily life makes such a big difference in their overall temperament and wellbeing. Play can mean different things for different dogs, but ultimately I think it’s about connection and engagement—learning what each pup needs. I think every dog owner knows when their furry friend has had a good dose of TLC. However, I also know that all too often it's difficult to get your furry friend the exercise and play they need to feel content and well. That's where I come in :) Let me help make life easier (and happier) for both you and your furry friend! Whether it be a walk, jog, game of fetch, snuggles/care, some individualized play or an extended stay -- I'm happy to assist! I try to be as accommodating as possible to the needs of my dog boarders. However, I require that all my boarders BE FULLY POTTY TRAINED. I make sure there are plenty of potty breaks outside throughout the day, but boarders must already be house trained. Feel free to message me regarding dogsitting scheduling! During this time of COVID-19 I am doing my utmost to be mindful and take all the necessary precautions. I understand that work and life crisis don’t always grant folks the opportunity to stay home.
