I am a first time, stay at home mother to a toddler, but have always been a working dog mom in the past. I understand the worry that goes into leaving your furry one at home alone possibly with no potty breaks until dinner time, or having weekend plans that cannot include a dog. I have always had dogs, but only in the last decade have I become very experienced with training through my significant other. We have trained from large breeds (German Shepard and Mastiff) to smaller breeds (Corgi and Collie). We currently have an exotic cat (Chausie breed) because it has all the characteristics of a dog but can stay home while we are away for the weekends. We have been able to train our cat to sit, fetch, and walk on a leash. The cat also enjoys playing with dogs and splashing in the pond.
