Tail-Wagging Fun Pet Sitter!

Pet care experience

I ACCEPT ALL DOGS: BIG/SMALL, FIXED/NOT-FIXED, ALL BREEDS! I love them all equally! :) For House sitting: the price is for overnight (12hrs; 8pm-8am) and one 30 minute - 1hr drop in during the day (12:00pm- 1:00pm) If you need me to be there 24/7 please let me know and we can adjust times and prices. If I am not busy I will offer to be there longer at no extra cost. For walks: I try not to use the entire timeframe for a walk so that your pup can have some one on one time with cuddles and playing with toys. If you would prefer I just walk your dog for the full time slotted then I can and absolutely will. My walks range from 0.5 mile - 2.5 miles depending on how often your dog stops to sniff and pee. If you'd like a 1 to 2 mile walk I would recommend booking an hour. For drop ins: many of my drop in clients prefer that I do half of the time as a walk and the other half as just playtime inside (for example: 30 minute drop in is a 15 minute walk & 15 minutes of inside or outside playtime) which I can do for no extra charge. If you don't need me to walk your pup then I will just split the time with outside time (if you have a fenced yard) and inside time. I've been a pet sitter/dog walker for many years. I started with friends, family and neighbors and have expanded my business to both on rover and outside of rover. I'm an avid pet lover and will one day be a veterinarian as I am currently going to school to further my education. I have 2 pets of my own and love them dearly; I will give your pet the same love and attention I give my own! Pay can be flexible if you are on a budget so please feel free to reach out and we can figure out the best price for you. I just want to help people and pets! :) Dogs who have been trained well will receive a discount on my services. Please contact me for more info if you're interested in this. I also give discounts if you book me for multiple walks/drop ins weekly! **this only applies if you ask!**

In your home: I always take extra steps so that your dog cannot escape through the front door if your dog free roams. If your dog is in a crate please let me know the exact location. I treat all dogs and cats as if they were my own and will listen to their body language first. I am personally insured as well so know that your pups will be taken care of in case of any emergency!

Information Kalista W. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or dietary restrictions. Please also let me know if your dog is dog friendly/stranger friendly so I can be extra cautious on walks. Please also let me know if there is anything else that you need me to do to ensure your pet has a great time with me. I am not opposed to caring for a dog that needs some one on one time! :) I do require dogs to be up-to-date on all of their shots, but as long as they have their Rabies vaccine I will be willing to watch them and I will disregard all the other shots but please have them up to date on their shots.

A typical day

I love to stimulate your dog physically and mentally. I can do search-for-treat games, fetch, basic trick training and take them on runs/walks. A typical day with me starts with breakfast around 6-8am depending on when you feed your dog. Then we go outside for a long walk (about 30min to an hour). After our walk we come inside and play with a variety of different toys. Then we will have some cuddle time. Then dinner time around 5pm-7pm depending on when you feed your dog. After dinner we go for a walk and all pets are put to bed between 9:30pm and 10:30pm. I can walk your pup to a nearby park or wherever you request, otherwise I will just walk them on the sidewalk and let them sniff around. If you request lunch for your dog as well they will be fed lunch from 11am-1pm I can walk your dog every hour or however many times you request in a day to a variety of areas. The basic tricks that I can teach your dog are: sit, stay, come, lay down, shake, spin, and leave it and how to recognize these tricks with words and hand motions (kind of like sign language for dogs) but I am not a certified trainer, I've just trained many dogs over a period of 10 years. I can bathe and do basic grooming for your dog but note that I am not a certified groomer; for example: brushing, nail trimming (specific cases — I will not touch your dogs nails if the quicks are overgrown!), teeth brushing, ear cleaning. I have worked with many dogs of many breeds; large, medium, small, x-small. I have applied medical ointments, flushed ears, given insulin shots, applied ice packs and given pills to dogs/cats who needed extra special care (medications were provided by the owners). I know basic dog/cat first aid, for example: caring for cuts or scrapes, burns, chemical exposure, foreign object removal from mouth and basic pet cpr (I am not certified). If you do not want walks and only want me to play outside with your pup in your fenced in yard, please let me know!

This is my only job so caring for your pups will be my #1 task during the day! I can provide your pet with the constant care they need and desire! That being said, if you are using me for house sitting, please understand that I have drop in clients as well that need to be attended to. Your pup will not be left home alone for more than 6 hours in very rare cases!
