Pet care experience
Working with pets is something I truly love. I grew up on a farm with countless cats, cows, pigs, and horses, where I think that love started. Since, I’ve volunteered for an animal shelter, cared for other’s pets (housesitting, walking, drop in visits), and had my own doggo for thirteen years. Under my care, you can trust that your pet will be safe and happy.

Kaleigh is fantastic. She is responsible and responsive and I’m so thankful she was able to watch our dog in our home. This was our first time ever leaving our dog with someone we didn’t know and the first time having someone stay at our house. Frank (our dog) had a great weekend in her care and we came home to everything in perfect order.

Kaleigh was perfect for our very young at the time puppy. We came home to a clean house and a happy and relaxed dog.
This was our first time using rover and Kaleigh made it a great experience! Our dog is scared inside and can be skeptical of new people. Kaleighs calm demeanor put us at ease that she would take care of our dog and give him the space that he needed. She sent us daily updates and took him on lots of walks since he loves being outside. Thanks again!!

Some important information to know about your pet before I can commit to watching them are: medications, how they interact with other pets typically, what kind of physical activity they need or if that should be limited. I also would like to know how long they can be left alone, and if they’ve got any quirks that I should be aware of!
A typical day
I am an outdoor enthusiast, so I love to go on long walks/hikes with dogs at least once a day if possible. I have a lot of experience with both high and low energy dogs, and am happy to accommodate any of their unique needs to keep things as routine as possible :)

Availability
Monday through Friday I work 2:30-6PM. I have short classes during the day as well, though that will end early May. Overall, I am pretty flexible! That said, I always make sure I’m never away from a pet for more than 8 hours (to align with a typical work day), though I always inquire about the pet’s needs and owner’s expectations.
