Pet care experience
Hi my name is Kaja (Kaya). I live in Richmond. I have over 15 years of experience working with dogs. I volunteered at a doggy day care, I've had the honor of fostering a King Charles spaniel, two Fila Brasileiro, and three Pit Bulls over the years. Those were amazing experiences that helped me learn more about dogs and myself. I have patience and animals naturally love me. I currently have two dogs one poodle and a pit bull (you can see them in my photo gallery). In order to be the best dog mom/lover I can I am always reading books and watching educational programs that teach dog behavior. I highly recommend 'Cesar's Way' by Cesar Millan. It's a great book. I am a firm believer in Cesar's methods and being the leader of the pack. Recently updated my don run/ play area we are ready for some spring and summer fun!

As always, Kaja provided excellent care for Jude. He had tummy trouble while we were traveling and Kaja went the extra mile to keep us informed, clean up after him, and make sure he was well cared for. We came home to a happy boy and a clean home. Highly recommend Kaja!
Kaja and her family took great care of Peanut. We feel like Peanut was in good hands the whole time we were gone. She sent us photos of him which made us feel less anxious being separated from our fur child. We are grateful for Kaja!
Kaja has stayed with our cattle dog/pittie mix (Jude) twice now including during a 1.5 week trip abroad. She did such a wonderful job with Jude, who is very sweet, but is dog reactive, a picky eater, and can be very anxious and sometimes wary of new people. I felt very comfortable leaving him in her care and I could tell from her frequent check-ins that Jude was having a great time with Kaja - he definitely has a new best friend. A bonus was that we came home to a very clean home. I would highly recommend Kaja and will certainly be using her in the future!

A typical day
I love going on walks at point Isabel and point Pinole or hiking Wildcat Canyon. If your dog is high energy we might go for a run. A tired dog is a happy dog! After all that energy is drained we can binge watching Netflix and cuddle definitely can’t forget belly rubs!

Availability
I'm currently working at an elementary school from 9am-3pm Monday through Friday. I am available for house sitting and boarding or drop ins as needed.
