Will love your pets like my own!
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Kaitlynn, and I'm a 24yo. college graduate who loves to petsit. I’ve been sitting for ten years now and it is truly the best job in the world. I am first and foremost an animal lover, but also a considerate housesitter who will respect your privacy and leave your home in even better condition than I found it. I've cared for puppies, kittens, elderly dogs and cats, chickens, birds, and everything in between. I am also able to administer oral medication to your pet. Please don’t be shy to ask about watering your plants, taking out garbage bins, handling mail/package delivery, etc. during my stay at your home. Whatever you and your furry family need, I’m more than happy to provide as I pride myself on being the responsible, dependable, and communicative caregiver that my current families rely on! Please contact me for references :) Also note that I’ve been sitting almost exclusively for my regular clients for some time now, in case the absence of recent testimonials on my profile is a concern to you.
Reviews
Kaitynn has watched our two large dogs a bunch of times over the last year and we are so grateful. Both of our pups love her very much! She keeps us posted while we are away with texts of the dogs, and is always very easy to get in touch with. She is respectful of our home and I am so happy that she was reccomended to me by a freind.
Kaitlynn was awesome with our pets while we were away. We loved getting pictures of our babies and that we were able to keep them in the comfort of our home while we were on vacation.
Kaitlyn was an awesome in-home sitter for our Great Pyrenees and our tabby cat last summer. She first came for a meet and greet and it was clear that our boys took to her! She sent daily photos and texts while we were away and we returned home to happy pets. Highly recommend!
Kaitlynn is the best! We were so relieved to find her when we moved to the area. She is responsible, very easy to communicate with, leaves our house sparkling clean and most importantly our dogs love her! She manages our dogs separate foods and personalities with ease - even with one of our dogs who can be aggressive towards strangers. I recommend Kaitlynn to all of my friends and neighbors and couldn't imagine a better sitter for our two dogs.

I adjust my morning routine to what your pet is used to. If you’re an early-riser and they typically get breakfast at 5am, I will set an alarm. I’m not bothered by pups waking me up very early to go outside. I welcome your pets to sleep in bed with me, but I will always respect your “no pets on the furniture” rule if that’s the case. Most importantly, I am an extremely responsible pet owner and caretaker. I am neurotic at home about my own cats getting out or eating something they shouldn’t. Any plants/flowers gifted to me are vetted before they enter the premises, and boy am I careful while chopping onions when I cook! Seriously, though, your pet’s health and safety is my top priority and I can assure you that they will be in hyper vigilant hands when under my care.
Information Kaitlynn K. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet is a little more territorial about their home than usual. I haven’t had any problems with territorial pups (they tend to be more aggressive with men), but I like to know before first meeting so that I can adjust my approach. I also ask for their vet information/location and any strange-to-me but normal-to-you behaviors they might exhibit. For example, I’ve cared for a senior cat who had a wheezing/sneezing habit. The owner let me know ahead of time that he’d been cleared by his vet and that if I noticed it while spending time with him, it was not cause for concern. Thank you!
A typical day
I’m an active person, so if your dog is accustomed to two walks per day, that’s no problem here. I enjoy being outside probably just as much as they do. If you have an active pup, I’ll make sure they’re able to stretch their legs and get that energy out. Helps both of us sleep through the night!

Availability
I work in a restaurant in Kent, CT 25-30 hours per week. My shifts are typically 3:30pm-10/11pm or 10am-5pm Thursday-Sunday. I will never accept a booking without making sure my availability to you based on my work schedule is the best fit for your family. Many of the dogs I currently care for are used to their owners being out of the house for an 8 hour work day, but for those who aren’t, I leave work on my break to let them outside and get some nap-inducing playtime in. If you send me a booking request but your pet requires a caretaker with full-time availability, I will always be forthcoming and honest about perhaps choosing another sitter.
