Kaitlynn was so wonderful keeping our 3 pups for daycare. They can be pretty neurotic (they get it from their momma), and she was very patient. We plan to come back for boarding!

As always, Kaitlynn provided excellent care for Charlie while we were out of town for a wedding. She got three baths while she was there, which is more than she’s gotten from us in three months!

Hello owners and thank you for looking! My secluded, dog-sitting sanctuary is located in the Dodge Flower Neighborhood, just minutes from Tucson Botanical Gardens. My cozy 700sqft one-bedroom sits inside of a 9,000+ sqft off-street lot which has extra large, separately fenced front and back yards. I am a solo sitter with two dog helpers: chihuahua, Little ...

What Kaitlynn would like to know about your dog

1) No cats. No pittbulls, no rottweilers, nor mixes thereof. I prefer not to board poodles.
2) Guest dogs MUST be potty-trained with no behavior towards marking territory in the house.
3) Guest dogs MUST be fully vaccinated with current documentation to prove it.
**Initial booking requests MUST present vet records showing date the pet received vaccination against: Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Coronavirus , Canine Flu, Bordatella and Leptospirosis.
4) Guest dogs must be microchipped! (available for $20 from Humane Society)
5) Pima County requires all dogs age months and older be registered by law.
6) "Free-feeding" is not an option here but I can accommodate specific mealtimes.

Crates are used for safety during mealtimes, sometimes for sleeping, and in case I need to run an errand or do a meet&greet during your pet's stay.

PLEASE complete your pet's entire pet profile before contacting me! I do need all of this information in order to evaluate if your dog would be a good fit.

Any of the following also helpful:
• Any health conditions or food allergies?
• Describe your pet's socialization with other dogs.
• Have they ever been boarded or been away from you overnight?
• Where county is your dog registered?
• Do they ever "mark territory" or have accidents indoors?
• Do you now or have you ever used pee-pads with your dog?
• Where does your pet usually sleep?

When Kaitlynn watches your pet

While caring for others' dogs, I stay home full time. My daycare hours start at 6:30 AM, pick-up time until 6:00pm and I do what I can to accommodate all needs within the scope of my ability.

My entirely fenced and locked yard is between 5'-6' high and bigger than some dog parks. There are likely to be at least 3 or more dogs here at any given time between daycare and the boarders. This lends to a "camp" style, energetic atmosphere. The dogs get so much exercise running and playing in the yard that there's usually no need to leave the property. If walks in my neighborhood are possible, I will always check for permission before we go. Most parents tell me their dogs go home happy and exhausted! We play a lot of tag, catch, and tug-of-war so I keep only the most durable rubber toys by JW and Kong or natural bones and antlers. No plastic, dyed rope, fabric, or other toys which could present poison, choking &/or dental hazards. Besides all of the space to run, dig, bark, wrestle and gallop, my backyard is perfectly shaded from afternoon sun by mature mesquite trees. Inside, I have all tile flooring and leather couches. My living room is generally full of dog beds and blanketed open crates. Fresh water is always available inside and out in several bowls around the property. I have plenty of space for your pet's own bed or crate (if they have one) to sleep & eat in a private, familiar space. It depends on the weather but the dogs often prefer to spend most of their time outside in the yard. If we happen to get stuck inside hiding from rain or cold then they will get a potty break at least every 2 hours.

Snacks/treats may include Milk-Bones, carrots, green beans, bananas, blueberries, chickpeas or celery. Please advise if your dog has an allergy, eats grain free, or if you have any other preference.

I invite you to view my profile photos! My yard isn't too fancy but the dogs love it all the same!! Due to the minimal 'landscaping', guests tend to get a bit dirty during their stay. For boarders, I often provide complimentary bathing provided I have enough advance notice of pickup time. For long-haired or specialty breeds this is not always possible but I do my best..

Nail trimming is a specialty service that I can provide for $20. I use a rotary sanding tool instead of the basic spring-loaded clippers. Nearly every client tells me they put it off nail care because their dog becomes fussy, difficult or even aggressive, occasionally needing sedatives. My trimming is especially great for dogs with black nails. I have never met a dog whose nails I could not trim. I am strong enough to hold them still but gentle, patient, not to mention I have time on my side when your pet comes for boarding or daycare so we often take breaks during the trimming. Let me know before you confirm payment if you would like to request nail trimming be added to your booking.

In rare instances, drop-off and pick-up of your dog may be included for an additional charge. Schedule permitting.
