Hello, My name is Kaity. I’m 24 years old. I’ve been a professional dog groomer for the past 3 1/2 years but recently made the switch to staying home full time with my baby girl. My husband and I are both huge animal lovers. We have 3 dogs. A chihuahua mix named Nani, she was my first baby. My husband was station in Hawaii while in the Marine Corps. The day after I moved out there, we were living in a hotel for 2 weeks, I immediately began my search for dog. I came across Nani on a Craigslist ad and immediately fell in love. I begged the lady to hold her for me until we got our house and I’m so lucky she did. Then there is Piper, our Ridgeback mix that we got from the Hawaii humane society. She is a high energy, very sweet dog. Lastly, there’s Duke. My brother found him abandoned in downtown Kansas City. He called me because I’m a dog groomer asking if I could give him a flea bath before they took him to the shelter. My husband and I immediately said we would take him instead. Duke was covered in fleas, starving, could barely walk, and was covered in sores. We immediately took him to be scanned for a microchip, which he did not have. The next day we took him to the vet and the poor guy had three different types of worms. We nursed him back to health and a year later he is the sweetest, most well behaved dog I have ever met. We also have a stray kitty that we took in and two bearded dragons. Basically its a zoo here.
