Pet care experience
I am a Graduate Student at American University studying Political Communication. My boyfriend Josh and I watch the dogs together, and we love having a fur guests in the apartment! I have a three year old maltese (Pippa) at home in Massachusetts. I have been a babysitter since I was 13 years old and that includes pets! Either alongside kids or visiting while families are away. I love working with dogs and we really love hosting little friends! I take lots of pictures throughout the visit that I will send to you (either on the app or through text, whichever you choose). I also have a guest book where each dog gets a page with some of their best pictures from the visit, name, and their favorite activities while we were together. It's a super fun way for me to see all of the dogs I've hosted and for the owners to see how much fun they had! I always like to create a fun environment for my fur guests. If I'm hosting a dog, I want to play with them as much as possible, make sure they're comfortable, and never left alone or scared. I have experience with dogs so I can gauge when they want to play or when they want to be left alone. If staying overnight I am happy to open my bedroom door for them to sleep wherever they want, on the bed, couch, or in a bed you bring them. This is fun for me as much as it is a job and reminds me of my little one! I will certainly make sure they are comfortable, well fed, and have lots of love and attention. Josh is also happy to play with the dogs and helps me to make sure they can have frequent potty breaks and are never alone for too long if I have work or school. Between the two of us someone is always there for your pet!

Kaitlyn watched my 2 dogs for almost a week. She sent regular updates and everything went well. I would use again. Thanks Kaitlyn.
Thank you Kaitlyn and Josh !! Thank you for helping me with the last minute booking, thank you for taking such good care of Max, thank you for patiently answering all my questions and sending me so many pics !! Thank you
Kaitlyn took great care of my pup Lady while I was away for a long weekend. She gave frequent updates and sent many photos to show me Lady was doing alright. This was my first Rover experience so I was nervous but I’m so glad I found Kaitlyn! Would recommend and happily use her again.
Kaitlyn was great! She clearly loves dogs and our dog was comfortable with her immediately. Her apartment was clean and bright and plenty roomy enough for our medium-sized dog. We got lots of pictures and updates while she was watching our dog and didn’t worry for one second while we were away. We will definitely use Kaitlyn for dog sitting again!

My apartment building has some grass areas and I live walking distance to the Howard Law and UDC in the Van Ness area. I will always make sure your dog is on a leash while outside and they will have free rein of my apartment when inside. I love to play with dogs while they are with me, and as long as they want to play I will give them all my attention! I will take them on walks and make sure they are ok with the weather, make sure they have plenty of food and water, and are happy!

Information Kaitlyn P. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if there is anything I should know ahead of time about your dogs. Please be sure to bring a favorite toy, food they like, favorite treats, and a bed or blanket that they are comfortable with if they will be with me for a significant amount of time. I would love to hear about their favorite things to do and if there is anything I should avoid. For visits at my apartment I need: Food Favorite Treats for good behavior Toys (make sure to include a favorite!) Bed, blanket or comfort item Leash Any directions you may have

ACCIDENT POLICY I’ve had a few issues with accidents which is why I’ve included this section. It’s usually not a problem but for the occasional issue I’ve decided to include this! - the first 3 accidents, pee or poop are no problem, things happen :) - for each accident after the given 3 the owner will be asked to pay a $5 fee if it is on the hard floor and $10 fee if it is on the carpet, couch, soft surface etc. - this goes towards cleaning supplies as a lot of paper towels and sprays are used up, and additional stress levels on the job -I take the dogs on lots of walks and always try to find the signs if they need to go to the bathroom and bring them out every few hours. Some dogs, especially younger dogs don’t always understand the concept of going outside and have repeated accidents on the way in or out. Even if they don’t go to the bathroom at home, doesn’t mean they won’t get nervous in a new environment. I often see bathroom and eating habits improve as the dog gets more comfortable here! Thank you for your understanding!

I am a student and have a job, my schedule changes weekly. I love dogs and this is a super fun way for me to earn money for school and fill up my time when I am not working! I am almost always available to host a dog and be able to give them a lot of attention! Josh works from home so even if I am not around, your pet will have company and have frequent potty breaks!
