I've been a dog lover/owner for my entire life, and I've always jumped at every chance to petsit for friends and family (because the more dogs in your life, the better!). I have 2 years' experience working as a caretaker and dog trainer at an organization that trains German Shepherds as psychiatric service dogs for disabled veterans. Through them, I had the opportunity to foster a puppy, who is now working as a service dog - it was an incredible experience that taught me so much about training and caring for dogs. I have experience working with reactive dogs in public settings, and a background in training using positive reinforcement, so I'm confident that I can handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. As a student who can't have a dog of my own at the moment, taking care of yours is my dream job!
