Pet care experience
I grew up around dogs and currently live with 2, my 15 year old long-haired Dachshund and my roommates 7 year old Greyhound. I work at UK full time and go to school part time. I love playing with pups and kitties and know that they need extra attention when their favorite people aren't there. I know how heartbreaking it can be to leave your pet for even just one or two nights, so I assure you that I will follow all guidelines given and go above and beyond in giving your loved one all the care they need. I'm experienced in giving dogs medications as my senior pup has had some medical issues over the years. I hope you'll consider me for your pet sitting needs and look forward to hearing from you! I am not able to have your pets in my home due to the size and our 2 dogs, but I am happy to come to your home. I find it better for pets to remain in their home/safe space when their people are away. As long as you have a strong internet connection I will work from home at your home so I can let them out throughout the day (then I'd go home for a bit to let my doggie out and head back in the evening/night). Happy to discuss specifics of when your pet would be let out/walked, etc.

Kaitlyn was absolutely amazing with our 2 dogs while we were out of town! She was very informative and left our home looking amazing after she had left. Kaitlyn did awesome with our 12 week German shepherd Brew. This was the first time we have been without him and I was so nervous, but Kaitlyn sent us lots of pictures and made me comfortable that my baby was in great hands! We will definitely use her again!

I will treat your home and your pets with the utmost respect. I leave everything as good or better than I found it. I truly love animals and know how stressful it is to leave them. So when you return from a trip the last thing I want you to experience is a messy home and a stressed out pet.

I would like to know if your dog has any special needs as far as feeding, medication, walks, etc. Anything that would be considered out of the norm. I can handle almost anything, but I love being prepared. I'd also love to know if they have a favorite toy or snack!
A typical day
I think the most important thing when pet-sitting is maintaining their normal routine. Pets can get stressed when their owners are away and when there’s a stranger in their home, so my goal is to keep things as normal as possible! If you have an active dog we’d go on long walks on their favorite routes! Or if you’ve got a more laid back senior pup we can chill inside and watch Netflix. I also love taking care of cats! Earning their trust is so special.

Availability
I work full time and take classes in person part time at UK so I am most available during evenings and weekends, but for longer term sitting, I have the option of working from your home (as long as I have a strong internet connection) and just popping out for class and to care for my senior pup.
