Fear Free Vet Assistant
Pet care experience
I have taken care of animals as long as I can remember. I am a vet assistant at a fear free clinic. I work with cats and dogs of all temperaments (friendly to spicy). I love all fur babies, regardless of their size! I work full time with availability on Thursdays and weekends. I understand a pets stress level changed when their humans are away- I prefer to house sit, love and care for the fur babies in their own home. Because I do walks, drop ins and house sitting, I follow what directions I am given per an owner. I am comfortable walking dogs in apartment complexes or areas that do not have a yard to get daily stimulation and use the bathroom. I scoop litter boxes 1-2 times a day as needed. Animals that have access to a yard I will allow to have time outside (reasonable for temperatures during the day). I understand the importance of habitual medication administration and I am familiar with medications due to my job. I am comfortable with administering medications of various methods, understand food allergies, ect. I will send photos as frequently as an owner would like: every day, multiple times a day, every other day. Most of all, I love each fur baby like they are my own. I want the owners to feel comfortable leaving their fur babies in my hands and enjoy their time away from home, knowing that their fur babies will be cared for.
Reviews
Kaitlyn is very kind and considerate. I appreciate her updates on my cat when I’m away! She took wonderful care of my cat.
Kaitlyn continues to do a great job taking care of my kitties!❤️🐈⬛🐈⬛
Kaitlyn is so kind with our anxious pup and makes sure to send us thoughtful and reassuring notes when we’re out of town and she walks our dog. She also helped us with a last minute add on walk when we needed it. Highly recommend her services! Thanks, Kaitlyn!
Once again Kaitlyn did an outstanding job caring for my 2 kitties, one of them who is Diabetic and needs insulin. Thank you so much Kaitlyn! ❤️🐈⬛🐈⬛

Safety, trust & environment
I believe that they are the happiest in an environment they are comfortable in when their humans are gone. I follow instructions that owners leave me, send daily picture updates and can send message updates as well to give an owner peace of mind. I am comfortable taking a pet out on leash or let them out through a door into their own backyard. I am comfortable with various medication administration types (oral, topical, injectable). Each baby is accounted for before I leave for work and before bedtime. I WILL go home before I go to your house to prevent potential illnesses, problems or stressors. Although I work full time, your house will be my “home base” for the duration that I am scheduled. In order to prevent COVID problems, I do sanitize before I leave your house.
Information Kaitlyn B. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if there are medications that are needed and how they are administered. I would like to know if there are food allergies for both pets and family members to avoid potential risks. If there are pet conflicts (dog/cat aggressive, high prey/ball drive that results in chasing other animals) that can be avoided or special restrictions (no running, injuries, recovery) that are needed. Most importantly, how can I make sure your babies are happy and comfortable with me!
A typical day
I will take the fur babies around local areas or hang out with them at dog parks/backyard. I understand that each dog needs entertainment. I will toss toys, play tug of war, I know different enrichment and entertainment methods. I follow recommendations from the owner and work with what they are comfortable with. If it is extremely ho/cold outside, I do limit time spend outside and being active to prevent any potential problems that might arise, especially if they are a squishy face or have a potentially dangerous health issue (heart, seizures). There will be shade breaks, I will have water on hand with a collapsible bowl, my own leashes. Mental enrichment can be achieved by smelling all the fun smells outside.
