Kaitlin was a very pleasant person, and the initial meeting went well where we wanted to move forward with using her to watch our 3 dogs while we were away. We had to reach out to check in to see if all was going well because she never initiated contact. We did not hear of any issues while we were gone the extended weekend. We come back and are greeted by a very nice neighbor who lets me know that one of the dogs had gotten out and was sitting outside at the front door for an extended period of time. It had been raining all day and the neighbor saw the dog, knocked on the door to let the sitter know. When no one answered he proceeded to check on her, dried her off because she was soaking wet, put down an extra bed and gave her some cat food (it is all he had). His last visit came around 9:30pm and the dog was still out there. Mind you this all happened the day before we returned. Once I got inside and asked how things were, Kaitlin said that she had gone to the gym and when she returned the dog was outside. We have a camera aimed outside at the front door and noticed that Kaitlin left at 10:19am that day and returned at 9:32pm. I can see the neighbor check on the dog at 11:36, dry her off at 11:52, check again at 2:58pm, feed her at 5:53pm and then check again at 9:26pm. With that, the guidance we provided for the sitter via the Rover profile and written down that we reviewed with her, is that the dogs are to eat 1 serving in the morning after the morning walk and 1 serving between 5-6pm, potty break every 4hrs and can be left alone 1-4hrs. She was gone for 11hrs! So, while 1 dog was outside being cared for by a wonderful neighbor, the other 2 dogs were inside, alone and had to eaten nor had company. That alone ensures I will NEVER use Kaitlin’s service again. If that weren’t enough, her taking 1 dog out at a time at random times to include at 1:10am after she had just returned from leaving the night before at 4:04pm. The dog getting out was a new experience and the problem has been fixed. The failure in communication and lack of attention, I discourage anyone else from using her.

My dog seemed happy and well taken care of. Kaitlin was nice and and friendly. I would recommend Kaitlin for pet sitting.
