Kaitlin has been our "dog nanny" for several years. Not only providing day care while going to college, but staying overnight when we had to travel. Unfortunately, our last pair of Rottweiler puppies we chose in 2011, had various health problems and were not easy to care for. Between the two, they had 5 knee surgeries, requiring 14 month recovery time, blood disease, diabetes, thyroid issues, etc. I work full time and needed someone to watch them, and walk them thru their surgeries. Kaitlin was amazing with them, not only did they love her, but she was undaunted by the regime of walking, exercises, pills, shots, etc. We lost Roxy in June, due to various health problems, and Kaitlin was devastated, Whenever she visits though, Rowdy still knows her and loves on her, leans against her, and cuddles with her. He doesn't feel well much of the time due to a blood disease, but every time she spent the night, she made sure she gave him the attention he needed all through the night, giving up sleep to ensure that he was comfortable, and had all his meds at the proper time. These two dogs have never been easy to care for, nor are they small dogs, weighing 140-155 pounds, yet she handled them easily, earned their trust to give them their medications, etc. She has amazing patience and stamina to deal with all problems, and certainly goes the extra mile to put the dog first. We were so sad when Kaitlin moved, and we have not traveled since, nor had a sitter, as she was the best, We certainly gave her a nightmare to deal with, but she did it with patience, and grace, and a sweet and loving attitude towards the dogs. We would highly recommend Kaitlin for any animal sitting job, as she has proved more than capable during stressful, ugly times in our dogs' lives. Kaitlin is amazing with animals, and she has a very sweet personality, and is very caring and nurturing to our animals. We love her and would recommend her highly for any animal sitting jobs.
