Flexible Experienced Sitter :)

Pet care experience

I have been taking care of dogs since I was around 10! I've had the privilege of volunteering at a shelter with all kinds of dogs who need love, interning at a vet clinic and learning the ins and outs of pet health, nannying a sweet bloodhound, and working at a pet boarding site. I had become the dog sitter in my community in my hometown and started caring for all kinds of dogs regularly. It has become my absolute favorite pastime. I am comfortable administering medication, training, taking extra care of your senior pup, and working with aggressive/anxious dogs. I can't wait to meet and care for your dogs!

My dog Pacey LOVES Kailyn! She has such a way with dogs, and Pacey immediately felt comfortable with her. Kailyn is also super trustworthy, so I had no problem letting her into my home to take care of my pup.

Not only is Kailyn one of the sweetest humans ever, but she will take of your fur baby like it is her own. Her love for animals really shines through the way she cares for your pet. And she’s also a great house guest! I know my dog Texas always loved when he had his friend Kailyn come to stay with him. Super thankful for how Kailyn served our family and loving on our dog the way that she did.

Kailyn has grown up around dogs of all kinds! Everything from sweet 10 pound lapdogs to security dogs. She is a confident and gentle handler with a heart for her furry companions! She’s a natural dog sitter!!

Safety, trust & environment

How I care for your dogs in your home is really up to you and your dog's preferences and routine. If you have an active dog, we can play outside, take walks, and do some mentally stimulating activities. If your dog is more of a couch potato, we can do a little exercise and then cuddle the day away. I am comfortable working on training and will accommodate what works best for you guys.

Information Kailyn D. would like to know about your pet

It's important for me to know the level of training your dog has. Your dog's safety and my safety are very important to me, so I need to know any kind of triggers or alerts that might make your dog aggressive or anxious, including how your dog interacts with other dogs. If your dog has aggressive or anxious tendencies, I am more than willing to work with them but it is important that I know in advance. If I am staying at your house with your doggie, I need to know your house rules pertaining to your dog (certain rooms that are off-limits to them, are they allowed on the couch, etc.) Routine and unusual habits are also important to make sure your dog is comfortable with me.

A typical day

I love trying new challenges for dogs, especially young ones! We'll work on training and nailing down important basic commands with lots of positive reinforcement, and exercising to get all that energy out. If you are comfortable, I'll take your dog (s) for a walk and work on walking manners.
