I am a self-employed business owner, so dog training and pet care is my full-time job. My schedule is very flexible, as nearly all of my time is spent working with dogs, pets and my clients.

Dogs will be crated for safety anytime they cannot be actively supervised, as well as during mealtimes. I have a fully suited, cozy kennel room in my home with heat/AC, music and a TV for comfort, plus a camera recording video footage for additional safety. My home is proofed, and my backyard has a secure 6.5ft privacy fence. Dogs will never be left unsupervised in the home or yard.

I have extensive experience with all dog breeds and special needs, including dogs who are fearful or prefer one-on-one time over social playgroups and activities. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or dietary restrictions, and detail their experience with other dogs and cats so I can be prepared to keep everyone safe and happy.
A typical day
At home, we have lots of fun enrichment activities ready to go, including puppy pools, climbable toys, feeder toys and more. I also love participating in fun training sessions with the dogs in my care, including posing them for fun photo ops! If we take a field trip (with the owner's permission), I love taking dogs in my care to local hiking trails in Berea or a fun romp in the creek at a private location we have access to Madison County. I also love letting the dogs sniff on 30ft long lines at parks with wide open fields. Please note, dogs will never be let off leash in my care unless we are in a securely fenced area with no other strange dogs for safety.

I am a certified professional dog trainer through CCPDT and use positive reinforcement, force-free methods with all of my services. My goal as a pet professional is to make my time with your pets fun, exciting and productive. From pet retail, to doggy daycare, to my very own dog training business, I have been working as a professional in the pet industry for over 8 years. Currently, I have two dogs, two cats and a ball python and have owned many other exotics in the past. I have volunteered with retired racing Greyhound adoption for years by transporting, fostering and adopting them into their forever homes. I look forward to adding more pets and their owners to the awesome family I've created through my training and boarding business. Being a self-employed dog trainer, I am committed full-time to the pets in my care. Occasionally, when noted, I will have to step out for an in-home dog training lesson or walk, but I am able to return promptly, within 1-2 hours. I have a secure, privacy fenced backyard with cold water bowls, shade, raised dog beds, and toys to climb and play on. We love to pull out the puppy pool or sprinkler on hot summer days! Please note, dogs are never left unattended while out. If dogs must be left unattended for a short time, I have a fully suited up kennel room complete with a TV (to play cartoons or music), comfy blankets and cool AC or warm heat. For safety purposes, boarders will sleep overnight and enjoy their meals in their crates.

Oh my gosh! What a wonderful dog sitter. Kailey was truly awesome when she cared for my two pups. It was obvious they were well taken cared of while I was gone. So much so they didn't seem at all glad to see me. And why? Because they had a beautiful energetic greyhound (Rocket) and Kailey to play with in the backyard. They had walks every day and healthy treats. They watched movies while sitting on her lap and on the couch beside her - all of them including Rocket. My bigger dog usually doesn't get along with other dogs but Kailey somehow managed to get them all to be friends and have fun together. She kept me posted while I was on my trip as to how the dogs were doing and sent me a picture of them. And Kailey herself is a real sweetheart. Warm, friendly, great sense of humor and young with the energy needed to keep up with the dogs. Her house is cozy, comfortable and dog friendly. I am extremely happy for the care my pups received while with her and I will be taking them back to Kailey's Getaway whenever I next need to leave town. I highly recommend this host!!
