I have my own dogs that love meeting and playing with others, and aren't afraid to gently show if space is needed or just some helpful dog etiquette, everyone is always supervised at all times to make sure everyone's happy and there isn't anything possibly dramatic happening as, like people, things can get there. We love being outside walking or even just relaxing in the yard until it gets to warm for everyone then inside to cool off have naps, water is always available, if food or anything is provided they get fed supervised or separately if needed :) My husband and I have had nearly every pet imaginable over the years and loved each of them so much. Our cat is dog savvy and never uses his claws or teeth, instead picking the rapid smacks to startle pups away from him, parkour over the top of the furniture to get where he wants or will just hide away for a bit. If a dog is comfortable with cats though and licks him they better be ready to be licked back haha as he will groom them. Over the years I have had to give medications to dogs and feel comfortable with doing it and I have groomed family members dogs for a shorter coat or shedding control and I do feel comfortable doing it with others if asked or needed, as well as bathing, it's in our tub with dog shampoo/conditioner and the shower head detaches then brush/towel dry for less stress, and nail clipping. I usually use a grinder or can clip them. It's always an adventure between the cat and my kids, who aren't afriad of any dog and know how to be around them, not pulling hair/tails/ears anything like that, especially when new to our house and help with manners as well if need be so puppies/dogs get well used to children as well if not already. If the pups are allowed I bring them for car rides as well to pick up our two older children from school, two separate times, or if there's a quick errand to run they come too :)
