Personalized care for you and yours
Pet care experience
PLEASE NOTE: I am currently unable to accommodate requests with kitties, due to allergies in the home. Thank you for understanding! Howdy, my name is Kai! Originally from Pennsylvania, my partner, our 2 dogs and I have recently settled into sunny Phoenix. Rover was my intro to working with animals, and after years of traveling, working in multiple boarding/ camp kennels and grooming environments.. I’m back! I have worked with HUNDREDS of dogs both individually and in play groups of up to 30 animals. I’ve also been training my dogs, some to service dog levels, over that time. As such, I am well versed in canine behavior and body language and aim to provide the safest and comfiest stay 100% of the time. High drive athletes and cuddly couch potatoes are both welcomed with open arms! I am also proud to be known as a reliable, safe place for those special seniors enjoying their golden years 💛 We would love to make you apart of our family!
Reviews
Kai was amazing, organized, attentive to detail, and flexible. Simba had a great time with her and she was great about providing photos and updates during his stay. Would recommend her to anyone needing care for their furry friend.
This was our first time using Rover, my wife and I had our worries about leaving our pups with someone that we didn't know. Kai helped ease our concerns by suggesting a meet and greet beforehand, which really helped. She took great care of both of our dogs and I could tell she showered our yuko with attention which she loved. she was quick to respond and gave us good updates about how they were doing. It really gave my wife and I peace of mind about going about on our trip.
Kai went above and beyond taking care of our pets and home while we were gone for 7 days. She bright toys to keep or dogs entertained. Helped relieve my dogs itchy skin to avoid hot spots. Took the pups on extras walks, cared for our home without us asking; this was so helpful. She really thought of ways to make our time away stress free. I would 1000% hire Kai again.
My review is a little overdue, but this was our first time using Rover for our animals and so I was new to all of the things and nervous but Kai was W.O.N.D.E.R.F.U.L... I didn't know this kind of service was a thing !!!!!! I am now more comfortable using rover and taking some weekend trips that my little pup might not be able to join. For us, it was perfect, I didn't want to be overwhelmed with check in text, but I also wanted to know everything was already. I felt like my dog and my cat were equally loved ( important not to have someone who sides with one or the other). Plus she has a dog that my pup could pay with!!! Seriously such a great match. Really Kai was wonderful and we will for sure use her again.

All animals regardless of service-type are required to be up to date on their vaccines and on a flea/tick preventive to book with me. No exceptions! BOARDING: Boarding guests must be dog-friendly, and able to be safely/quietly crated, if necessary. Adult dogs MUST be potty-trained. While we appreciate the chatty furkids, we unfortunately cannot accommodate them for boarding. What to bring: -enough food for their stay, preferably pre-bagged -their medication, supplements or calming chews if applicable -their own crate if applicable (dogs love their own den space!) -a bed and something that smells like you to keep them comfy -treats and chews -potty pads, diapers, or belly bands for puppies or females in heat. We can provide the toys and fun! DAYCARE Of course, dogs must also be dog-friendly for this service. We only take 1 dog in addition to our two personal dogs at a time. We just need your pup and their walking gear, but feel free to bring treats! * If your dog is a young puppy, please provide pads, thank you! Our complex is gated, but your pup will never be off leash outdoors, unless you’re okay with them coming to our dog park (private and double-gated.) Our pups are allowed on furniture for cuddles if invited. We have an x-pen separating the main space from the kitchen and other rooms, so they are always safe! DAY-SITS/OVERNIGHTS Dogs are not required to be animal friendly or crate trained. Prices start at 55 per day dependent upon animals’ needs. Day-sits: Consider this a longer drop-in for those that need a full day to get things done. I will hang out with your pet in the home for a couple hours until you return! Overnights: During overnight stays, your home becomes my “home-base.” I will essentially live in the home with the pets, but still run errands and possibly step out for other walking jobs. This option is for pets that are used to their caretaker leaving for regular shifts each day. Sleepovers are included provided there are acceptable sleeping arrangements. If not, I will stay as late as possible at night and return early morning. CONSTANT CARE For animals that can’t be left alone at all, have medical needs that require hourly care, or have separation anxiety, constant care fees will apply. This is either charged at an hourly rate, or at a flat rate of $150 a night, per animal.

Information Kai P. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if you have any special instructions for your pet. Do you have a strict schedule or dietary concerns? Do they have barrier frustration, kennel aggression, or spats of resource guarding? Are they reactive and need to be walked in certain areas to avoid triggers? Are they a puppy who is not done getting vaccines? I’m happy to accommodate any of these things if possible.
A typical day
We have puzzles, snuffle mats, interactive feeders/kongs, and lots of fun frozen recipes and lick mats if your dog is a foodie! I can offer training, hiking, dog parks or Sniffspots as an additional service. Ask about swimming options in the summer!

Availability
I am typically home full-time and should be able to accommodate most any request. Occasionally, I will have other jobs on top of a house-sitting service… but your pet(s) will receive stellar care regardless!
