Pet care experience
I live on the peninsula with my partner, work from home, love going for long walks in the neighborhood, and love dogs. I grew up with dogs and cats, and had a brief freshwater aquarium obsession in college (that phase thankfully passed). Now I like taking care of friends’ dogs when they leave town. I love to take dogs for long walks to let them sniff until their hearts are content.

Kaelen loves dogs! She is always so warm and caring to other people’s dogs, and I know she wants one of her own (maybe one day). I know she will take care of your sweet dog with walks on the beach or around the neighborhood.
Kaelen has taken care of my dog Holly countless times over the years and Holly loves spending time with her. Kaelen is kind, nurturing, and accommodating. She loves animals and is extremely capable so I never have to worry about Holly when I drop her off. I hope Kaelen never moves because Holly and I would be devastated!

We don’t have much of an outdoor yard but plenty of room to have a decently-enough behaved dog or cat to roam freely in our (partner and I live together) 2200 sq ft house. Room for a crate but it’s all up to you/your pet’s comfort. We live three houses from the beach; if your dog likes the sand I will walk them/play catch on the beach with them until they’re tired! If they like to sleep all day, I won’t disturb them! Typical walks are 30 min but everything is up to discuss. It’s your dog’s world, I’m just living in it.

A typical day
I like walking around the peninsula in a big loop, either on the boardwalk or sand, to the end of the grassy area where we can sniff around. Rosie’s dog beach is also a good walk if your dog likes to play with others and splash around.

Availability
Prefer day-visits on the Long Beach peninsula +/- 1 mile. I love your animals but driving all over town to hang out with your pet will mentally turn into an ERRAND for me, which doesn’t work! Hanging out with a good pet has to stay a highlight of my day. I’m picky on the dogs I spend a lot of time with, but with a good fit, overnights/boarding while you’re on a long vacation can work out. Let’s meet! I work from home full time, but have full flexibility to walk and check in on pets during the day. I travel ~just~ enough for work/play that having my own pets is too difficult right now, but I love animals. If I can fit yours into my schedule, I’d love to make a new friend.
