Pet care experience
I had a schipperke for 18 years and have been my family's pet sitter since I could remember. I have been working at a vet clinic since 2017 as a kennel attendant and dog bather. I have experience with all types of breeds, ages, personalites, special needs and activity levels. For me, taking care of animals isn't just a hobby or something to pass the time, it's a passion and something I look forward to doing for the rest of my life. I am experienced with giving oral, ear, eye and topical medications to dogs. Working at a vet clinic that boards dogs, I have learned many tricks to getting even the most stubborn dog to take its pills. I am available before 8am and after 3pm Mon-Wed and Fri-Sat. I am available all day on Thursday and Sunday. My schedule at the clinic may vary some days and there are chances I will be available sooner than 3pm on weekdays. I want to make a good relationship with not only your pet(s) but with you too!

Kaelara is amazing! She is so good with our high energy puppy and always sends updates about how he is doing. She is great about taking him for walks and playing with him in the yard. She sends pictures so that you can see all the fun things that they do together. I would reccomend Kaelara without hesitation! She is simply wonderful with all animals!
Kaelara is an animal lover through and through. She has watched my family's dog for years and every time she comes over he is so excited to see her. Kaelara also has professional experience working with animals and has dedicated her life to caring for them. I would highly recommend anyone have Kaelara watch their beloved pet!
Kaelara has watched our Shih Tzu multiple times when we have traveled out of town. She always takes Sully for multiple walks, as well as caring for him in our home. My wife and I joke that our dog likes it better when we are out of town!!
Kaelara is the best pet sitter around! She is responsible and truly loves taking care of animals. I'm pretty sure my cat gets more play time when I'm gone than when I'm home. All dog owners in my family use Kaelara, too. She goes beyond feeding and walking them and spends time petting and playing. Often times she'll send pictures or videos and you definitely can't tell who is having more fun, the pet or Kaelara!

I have no breed preferences, I love them all!! From shih tuzs to pitbulls and newfoundlands (Oh my!) Every dog is a good dog and I can't wait to meet yours! I would like to know about any medication or special needs there may be, general behavior, feeding schedule/dietary needs or restrictions. Also any triggers your pet has (ex: wanting to chase anything that moves while on a walk) and/or pet peeves your pet may have (ex: doesn't like being picked up or don't touch the tail). Of course if there is anything else you feel I should know about your pet I would love to hear it! We (you, your pet and me) can even do a meet and greet. I want you to know you are leaving your furry family member in great care, no matter if it's just for 30 minutes or for a whole day!
A typical day
Drop-in visits: I will do basic care for your pet (feeding, water, meds, going out) and then we will have plenty of time to play and get lots of belly rubs! You can expect pictures and videos whenever I visit! I can stay for 30, 60 or 90 minutes. Each additional 30 minutes will be an additional $15 and each additional dog will be $5. Dog walks: I will walk your dog around the neighborhood, near by parks or anywhere else that looks nice and fun to walk around. At the end of each walk I will let you know how it went and what all we did on the walk, either in person or via text. 50lbs and under: I will walk 1-4 of your dogs together (depending on weight of each dog). Each additional dog will be an additional $5. 51-80lbs: I will walk up to 2 of your dogs together. I would prefer we do a meet and greet before booking to make sure I will be able to handle them as I am only 5'4" and 125lbs. Each additional dog will be an additional $5. 81lbs+: I will walk 1 of your dogs at a time. Meet and greet for possible (not guaranteed) exceptions.
