Hello! My name is Kaela. Animals have always been my passion. I grew up in the PNW with a Golden Retriever and various other critters, from reptiles to chickens, and cats to bunnies. Volunteering for several years at both an animal shelter and a rescue horse ranch exposed me to a wide range of temperaments in pets. My philosophy is that regardless of your pet's training background, energy level, or special needs, they should feel safe and comfortable in every environment. I have found that pets are generally more relaxed and receptive in their own home, which is why I prefer at-home sitting to boarding. As my own pets have grown old I have experienced what it means to assist an older dog with weak hips or coax a picky cat into eating her food. I also pride myself in being an active pet sitter who is able to provide concentrated attention to each animal in my care. During college I worked for a family that had two very different dogs. One couldn't imagine anything other than snoozing on the couch all afternoon, while the other required extremely long walks to burn off his Border Collie energy. I truly enjoy getting to know the unique personalities of animals and I hope you give me the chance to pamper your beloved pets!
