Pet care experience
Big animal lover here! Throughout middle and high school I fostered an array of soon-to-be pets to get them socialized and ready for adoption in New York. I recently moved to Fort Worth after living 6 years abroad in Costa Rica. I moved with my two male pups, Coco and Macho (they're the ones in my profile pic!). Both were strays in Costa Rica that I personally rescued from the steets, trained and have been loving ever since. In Costa Rica we used to do a lot of off-leash hiking, but here we've adjusted to the dog-walk and doggie park style of life. I am a grad student studying bilingual speech pathology at Texas Christian University. Tuesdays and Thursdays are my heavier days when I'm away from home for 10+ hours, but I do pop in for a potty break during lunch. I don't typically do day sitting on those two days, because of my crazy schedule. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I have fewer commitments and only need to be away from home for 3-5 hours. And on the weekends I am home full time. If watching dogs in my home, I always do a Meet & Greet first so that our dogs can have introductions and to make sure we're on the same page. My dogs are loveable goofballs who get along with 99% of dogs, big and small. They definitely see Rover as a chance to make new friends. If your pup stays with me and my dogs, I'd be more than happy to take him or her on walks with us (or separately depending on walking needs), or even to a dog park if it's over the weekend. We like to stay active! I'll also keep you updated with pics and activities. Expect a surprise gift at the end of your pup's stay :)

Jul was the sweetest with our Millie. She was very warm and welcoming, and we had a wonderful experience with her! We would for sure recommend her!!!
Very sweet and quick to respond host!
Look no further and book your stay here!!! Jyl was an amazing sitter for my pup! She was so easy to communicate with and even left work during her lunch break so I could leave for my trip. From the moment I dropped her off her two pups and her made my puppy feel welcome and they went to the dog park twice over the weekend! Her picture and video updates were so adorable and I came back to a tired and happy dog! Definitely using her again next time
Jyl is a natural. If reincarnation is “a thing”, I most certainly would like to come back as one of Jyl’s dogs. She takes such good care of them and sees to their needs. They are always clean, healthy and happy! She interacts with them to keep them active. She is generous with praise and training. Her dogs enjoy being around other dogs and people. Both dog and owner will benefit through association with Jyl! I highly recommend Jyl R as a responsible and loving caregiver.

All kinds dogs are welcome! As I do have dogs, I'd like your dog(s) to be up to date on vaccinations and to have had flea & tick treatment recently administered. Also, I won't be able to accept any sick dogs for the same reason. I also won't accept destructive or aggressive dogs.
A typical day
I live in a residential neighborhood in SW Ft. Worth and my neighborhood is very dog-friendly. I usually walk my dogs for 1 hour in the morning and 30 minutes at night, weather permitting, so your dogs are welcome to join. On the weekends we can visit Fort Woof if your dog enjoys that. I also have an array of water buffalo horns and deer antlers that are a HUGE hit with all dogs. My dogs loooove playing tug-o-war so that's pretty much a guarantee as well.
