I started my own dog sitting business when I was 12 years old, and it went so well I was able to do it through high school and college as a job. I have always, always had dogs and I love them all to pieces! I strive to make sure that you know exactly what your fur baby does during the day, to eliminate any anxiety about leaving your loved ones home or dropping them off somewhere they aren’t use to. I give a detailed report, hour by hour, of what your furry family member and I have done through the day. As well as text, picture, and video updates while you’re away at your request! My goal is to make your being away as easy and stress free for you, as I make it for them. 💙

I live on about 5 acres of land with livestock (horses, sheep, and chickens). I live next to plenty of trails for walking and running, as I do not feel comfortable letting a dog I am not familiar with off leash on the property, however I value the importance of their exercise needs. I live with my husband and 10 year old son. Our inside animals consist of 5 rescue dogs. A 12 year old long haired chihuahua named Samson, a 2yo lab named Charlie, a 3yo husky named Luka, a 7yo shepherd husky named Koda, and a 6 month old heeled mix named Indy. Our babies have their own room in the house, with their own private entrance, which means when the occasion calls for it, it is extremely easy to separate our dogs from our furry visitors if need be or requested. Our babes are other dog friendly, but I fully understand that not all dogs are, so I have made it very easy to accommodate your baby while they are here!

I have no breed preferences, I love all dogs :) I do like to know they’re usual routine, any anxiety triggers they may have and how you calm them down when they get worked up, if there are any medical needs they may have, medications, things to look out for and avoid. I do request emergency contacts, for both you and their vet in case of emergencies, and have a written contract that will need to be signed stating that in the case of an emergency I am allowed to take them to either their vet, or the emergency vet for care.
A typical day
I love going on walks, there are a lot of trails in my area. I am familiar with all the dog parks in the Iowa City/Coralville area and with your permission, love to take your animals out to play catch and socialize.

I am currently a full time graduate student that lives on a farm out of Iowa City. I take all my classes online, so I will have all the time I need to make sure your fur baby is loved and cared for!
