Pet care experience
** Update: After two recent trips to Central America in 2023 a new venture has started to blossom for me. I'm in the process of founding another nonprofit that will offer help to dogs in third word countries. In February of 2024 my team and I will be traveling to Costa Rica to run a spay/neuter clinic. All the money I make off Rover will be donated direcrly to that cause. Once we confirm a 501c3 and website I'll share the information. ** I've been a life long dog lover and owner so it only made sense to make it my career! I've been training dogs professionally for the past 17 years; I hold 2 certifications in positive reinforcement training, 2 certs in service dog training, and 2 certs in the fundamentals of dog psychology. I've been a mentor trainer for students at Animal Behavior College since 2012 and an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator since 2014. I founded a nonprofit that trains services dogs for disabled veterans, (except, in reality, we'll help any qualified individual). I've worked with trainers such as Karen Pryor, Cesar Milan, and Todd Langston. I had a wonderful, rapidly growing business in Las Vegas where I offered boarding, pack walking, and training. My unique approach to dog care caught the eye of a kennel facility owner in Minnesota where I was offered a position as General manager. I quickly realized that high volume commercial kenneling was not for me. When there are 80+ canines daily you simply can not provide the care and attention the dogs need and deserve. It was a high stress environment for the poor pups and the complete opposite of what I stand for. I've since left and relocated to Arkansas where I'm finally using my degree in interior design, but I can't fully step away from dogs! They are my heart and soul. So now I can use my degree remotely and still hang out with the pups! It's a win-win! For more information please search for JC the Canine Consultant on FB or Google! Justine did a wonderful job she took great care of our puppers and our home. We were a little late getting back from our trip and she helped us out with an extra drop in we didnt plan for. She kept us in the loop and sent us good photos of our pups.
Justine is the most communicative sitter!! Receiving consistent updates and photos about our dog allows us to feel at ease! Cant recommend enough.
Justine was amazing with our pups! She sent regular updates with photos and videos. She also recorded each time she took the pups on a walk. She gave us peace of mind while we were away. We will definitely be using her again!
Justine did a great job with our baby. She kept us posted throughout our trip, sending notes, photos, and videos. She is very knowledgeable about dogs, and she obviously cares about them. We felt very confident having her stay with our puppy.

Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I primarily only watch dogs in their own homes now-a-days. Occasionally, I will take a dog to my house but that's usually only after I get to know the pup. I like to keep dogs on their routine schedules as much as possible.
Home
Information Justine C. would like to know about your pet
Before a dog comes to my home I like to know the basic background of the dog; breed, age, gender, spay/neutered, up to date on vaccines, etc. Then I like to know about the dogs training, is he/she crate trained, potty trained, know basic obedience, does the dog have any destructive behaviors, is he/she social with other dogs?
A typical day
Structured pack walks are provided on a daily basis that last a minimum of 1 hour and cover approximately 3 miles. This is a great way to mentally and physically exercise your canine companion. Aside from walks/hikes we also offer slow jog bike rides to dogs with endless energy.

Availability
I work remotely as an interior designer and volunteer as the vice president of a nonprofit. So, fortunately, I can work ar your house or mine, set my own schedule, and still have plenty of time for dog walks and puppy snuggles.
