Even with a dog of my own I find myself on here! Just wanting to return the favour of others looking after my dog when needed, especially in these times of need and I have so much extra time to help. In these times of uncertainty, safety is number 1 priority which means I'll make sure I wear a mask and gloves when dealing with your dog and also to keep distance from others for now. Along with my dog, Jasper, I walk dogs in kennels and try to help out where needed. Getting as much dog interaction as humanely possible! With my dog being a rescue, I fully understand that every dog is individual and different and some might need more time and attention which I can fully provide. Jasper is very high energy so I know the importance of physical exercise and mental stimulation to make sure that both the mind and body are tired, so anyone with a high energy dog just know I have experience in that field! I try to be as engaging as possible to keep the walk fun and keep the attention more on me than the distracting environment. I like structured walks. A nice calm walk with a given time to play, run and be a dog. I also love adding mental stimulation into walks to make sure that your dog is both mentally and physically tired before returning back home. I always carry treats (normally cut up hot dog pieces) and some sort of toy that I use to help keep that engagement. I like to go the extra mile when out on walks, make a dog feel special, it's one of the most exciting moments of a dogs day!
