I have lived on farms with all types of animals my whole life, from dogs cats and fish to alpacas and cattle. Now that I am at uni I am not able to have my own animals and I miss having them around a lot. On the farm I grew up on we have 3 working dogs and 2 pet dogs, so I am used to being around a variety of different breeds and personalities. Throughout my life I have looked after friends and relatives animals when they went away on holidays so looking after people’s pets that aren’t mine is a concept I’m very familiar with. Here in Cardiff I live in a house with an enclosed backyard and my housemates all love animals too. I have a car so I’m very flexible transport wise. My timetable for uni only has very few contact hours a week so I’m never out of the house for long.
