Capital Animal Rescue ♡
Pet care experience
~~~ About Me ~~~ Animals will always have a special place in my heart and home. Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work with animals, from goldfish to elephant; and all the sizes in between. Dogs became my perfect companion! As I grew older, my passion for animals grew with it. My experience includes over 12 years of animal care including obedience training, fostering, rehabilitating, animal advocacy and volunteering. In the past, I have worked to organized and coordinated host sites for pet adoption events with partnering animal rescue groups including Montgomery County Humane Society and Taiwan SPCA. In 2011, I turned my home into "Capital Animal Rescue and Environmental Foundation", aka C.A.R.E (for short) where I sheltered, rehabilitated and placed homeless animals into forever homes through socialization with other animals and people. In those beginning years, I learned more than I could ever imagine about dog psychology, temperament levels, medical care, and addressing behavioral issues including separation anxiety, aggression and nervousness. While Rover is my part-time hobby, I take top-priority in providing clients with the best possible services. I have cared for over five-hundred pups in the past six years, all with different breeds, personalities, temperament levels and different needs. Next to pup cuddles and wagging tails, it brings me much joy to witness the progression of a pup who comes in stressed, but leaves happy, stressed-free and confident. I believe animals, may small or big-- belong in a pack environment. Given that control, safe and training environment, our furry friends learn what its like to work and play as a pack! ~~~Important Notes~~~ 1. Meet n’ Greets are required for all new furry friends. 2. Bring food (labelled), treats, collar, leash, DOG TAGS and favorite toys. 3. Relax your pup prior to arrival by taking him/her on a long long long walk/run. Make sure they’ve pee'd and pooped already. 4. Please mention any quirks your pup may have, IE: marking, biting, barking, aggression, doesn't like car rides, terrified, etc... Don't worry because I will still take them in if I can. I just need to know what I'm working with and how to help them. 5. Preferred DROP-OFF/PICK UP TIMES before 10am and after 6-7pm. Latest Pick-up is 9pm. If we need to make other arrangements just let me know. 6. Make sure your dog is clean and groomed. No super stinky pups. I like to cuddle them (if they like of course) and I like to stay clean too. Please brush/furminate them if you can. Much appreciated. Please note that I take care of many dogs throughout the stay, usually between 3-8 pups a day. I believe dogs and animals should live and socialize in a safe pack in order to keep them healthy and happy. The pack and I would love to meet you and your furry friend(s)! Juliet H. cancelled a booking 1 day before it was scheduled to begin.
Juliet was fantastic! From the moment we met her at the meet and greet before our trip, I felt at ease. Her professionalism, questions about our pup, his habits and routines, it was clear she knew a lot about dogs and that she wants to cater to her client’s pup. She sent lots of pics and status reports which are reassuring. Thank you, Juliet!!
Juliet is everything you could hope for in a dog sitter. Responsible and competent, and has an excellent rapport with dogs. We could not be more pleased with her care for our dog Danny when she stayed with him over the weekend. As an additional plus, she sent us some of the best action pictures of our dog that we have.
Juliet is always amazing with Bonsai and super patient with her shyness. Juliet is always professional and leaves our apartment as clean as when she arrived.
It's really important for me to know any concerning issues up front so I can better work with your pup and maybe even help them correct the issues on their stay.
