3 year vet student at your disposal

Pet care experience

$20 off your first booking with the code: JULIEA02745, https://www.rover.com/sit/juliea02745 Hi, I’m Juliet. My partner and I are very active people, who absolutely love pets! So much, in fact, that one of my goals is to specialize in canine behaviour! Aside from that, we are both already certified in pet nutrition, and I have 3 years of vet school experience so far. We have plenty of experience caring for all sorts of pets, and can include different training strategies while your pet is with us. We have a high energy doggo, she is a small/medium pup who is spayed and very friendly, we also have a big fenced yard where pups get the option of playing outside or inside as much as they want. Please, let me know if you would like me to add things such as nail trimming, baths or administration of meds. Generally, I do include complimentary bath if your pet stays with me for a week or more. I would also love to know how much energy your pet generally has and what kind of activities they love to do, I will be more than happy to adapt my daily schedule accordingly. In order to ensure the most enjoyment and plenty of socializing, I do accept more than one furbaby at a time, please let me know ahead of time if that is not your preference Feel free to message me here or on my phone 778. 681.48 64 HOW WE COOL DOWN THIS HOT SUMMER 😎: • Air Conditioner • Air Coolers and Fans • Kiddy pool • Water fountain • Cooling mats • TONS of fresh water outside and in every room (ice cubes are added every 3 hours)

We left our 1 year old lab with Juliet and Chris for daycare and it was amazing! Our dog loved it there and got along great with their dog! We had a hard time getting her to come back with us at the end of the day. We are usually nervous about leaving her in new places since she is quite new to daycare, but both Juliet and Chris were very welcoming and understanding of her behaviour and needs. The pics and videos were very reassuring. Thanks Juliet and Chris! We will definitely be back!

This review is not intended to rate the rover sitter poorly but rather how the situation played out as a result of my dog going into heat during the time and despite all of the best intentions, the outcome was tough. Riley stayed with Juliet between May 14 to 28. Juliet was the only sitter I found available on Rover who would take dogs in heat. I was in communication with Juliet before the stay to confirm that she can take care of dogs in heat and that Riley wouldn’t be around unfixed male dogs. Riley started to bleed on her first day of stay. I kept in contact with Juliet to see how Riley was doing. I received regular photos and videos of Riley. After the two weeks stay, Riley stayed with Juliet again in June a few times for day care and a couple of nights of boarding. Riley went back to Seattle, where we live, for her scheduled spay surgery on July 19th, which I had booked well before this trip. On July 14th, I took Riley to the vet because she stopped eating and her abdominal looked enlarged. Her nipples and breasts were larger than her siblings, who had gone into heat. The X-ray showed Riley was around 55 days pregnant and she was a week away from labor. The shocking news hit me like a rock. I had no intention to breed Riley and wasn’t prepared to take care of 5+ puppies and nurse Riley at the same time. It was a hard decision but a right one based on my circumstances to abort the puppies at a late stage of pregnancy. The vet informed me the risk was high as Riley would lose more blood than normal. Luckily, the surgery was successful. Riley’s incision was much longer than a normal spay surgery. It has been 6 weeks since the surgery and her postpartum hormonal changes are still apparent. Riley’s coat is thinning and shedding non-stop. Her appetite has changed, and it was a battle to get her to eat her meals. Before writing this review, I messaged Juliet directly about what happened. I was and still am not seeking compensation, but only wanted to let her know what has happened to Riley and the amount of stress I had gone through. Long story short, I want to let dog owners know if you are looking for a sitter who will take in female dogs in heat, please be cautious that accidental pregnancy can happen, even if you are extra cautious already.

Gouda always has the best time at Juliet’s and is always tuckered out after days of play. The picture updates are a wonderful touch to keep us in the loop and see the fun he has!
