Julie R. housesat for me, taking care of my cat on two separate occasions, both long trips of one month plus. She took excellent care of my cat, and my house – everything was calm and clean when I returned. We communicated easily; she touched base with me about once a week even if only to say everything was fine. My plants were healthy, too – always a sign of the quality of a housesitter! Julie cares a lot about animals, and when my cat was showing signs of distress on this last trip, Julie alerted me and received my permission to alter my cat’s food – i.e, Julie was proactive in trying to solve the problem. Neither of us realized that my cat was actually beginning a dying process – only in hindsight a month later, when my cat passed, was it clear – but her distress at seeing my cat suffering was very moving. I highly recommend Julie!
