I have been a life-long animal lover & there has always been a pet in my life. We grew up with a yappy terrier mix and then adopted a run-away Golden Retriever after the owner didn't want the dog anymore. My first rental home came with an elderly dog to care for. I quickly became the person to take pets to when people moved & could no longer keep their pets… I am a sucker for puppy dog eyes or kitten snuggles. I've even cared for tropical and freshwater fish, birds, turtles, and hamsters. My first dog, Zip, was a retired racing greyhound and I'd love to take care of your sighthound! I know their special needs and quirks and know how hard it is to trust a non-grey experienced person with this special breed! I have cared for elderly dogs showing their age as well as not-quite-house-broken puppies. I have a sweet spot in my heart for old dogs. I am working from home full time, so can dedicate as much time as needed to your pet while they are in my care. We are an easy-going household! I do not have a yard, but happily leash walk in all weather. There is a nice big park nearby & several dog parks within driving distance for any special fun your pup would require! I do have a flight of floating stairs to my apartment, so if your dog has trouble on stairs, that is good to know. I can carry any little guys that might need help, but have bad knees so bigger pets would need to be able to handle them on leash. The following breeds are not permitted in my community: Rottweiler, Doberman Pinscher, Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Terrier, Chow, Presa Canarios, Akita, Alaskan Malamutes, Wolf-Hybrid, or any mix with these.
