Hey There! My name is Julie and I am a recent transfer to Charlottesville by way of California. I love dogs (and cats), and my goal with your furry one is to ensure they feel happy and are taken care of while you are away. My experience taking care of pets ranges from caring for/staying with large dogs (including labs, huskies, and German shepherds) for 2 weeks at a time, to daily check-ins including walks, & administering medication for senior doggies. I also have experience caring for as many as 5 cats at once long and short term :) I know how important our furry babies are and hope you will feel confident with your pet(s) in my care. I have my own transportation and am available via text at your convenience. I can't wait to meet you and your pet very soon!

While I am not currently accepting in-home care, I always make sure to respect your own home and pets' surroundings with thorough communication. I do not unleash pets while walking, and will only unleash in trusted, familiar dog parks with your explicit permission. For your and my safety, it is preferable that you leave your key in a lockbox of some kind as opposed to under a doormat or on top of a windowsill, etc. If you'd like to meet me before I take your fur baby on a walk or check-in on them while you're away, I am happy to do so.

I love all doggies! I grew up around a variety of dogs including Shih Tzu's and Husky-Lab mixes, and would love to take care of your dog big or small. I ask only that you let me know ahead of time if your dog is timid or afraid of new people, or if there are any other specifications I need to know before hanging out with your pup or other pet.
A typical day
I am a big proponent of exploring parks big and small. Without venturing too far from your neighborhood, I would love to take your dog to the closest park for a nice walk and game of fetch.

Availability
Availability in October-November: I am available for walks and extended check-ins. Right now I am not available for overnight stays. Weekly Availability: Wednesdays after 12pm-Sunday anytime! I am available all of Thanksgiving Week. If you need care outside of the times listed, shoot me a message to see if we can make it work :)
