Julie is truly a dog lover. Her own dogs are not merely pets -- they are her "furry children". She dotes over them just as a mother dotes over a child. Although it can be heart-wrenching, Julie often volunteers at the local animal shelter. In fact, she rescued her beloved dog Taters, a Pit bull mix, from a shelter a number of years ago. He was very timid and afraid when he came to live with her, but her love and care helped him understand that not all people are hurtful. He was her constant companion and friend until he passed away in January of this year. Unable to bear the emptiness in her heart, she adopted Julius, a handsome, happy-go-lucky Basset hound/Black Lab mix who demonstrated some anxiety issues at first. Julie was patient with him and helped him resolve his problems. With both of these fellows, I have witnessed Julie's love and compassion. She has a tremendously big heart where animals are concerned. and I am confident she would care for her client's pets with the same responsibility and love that she shows her own.
