Pet care experience
I have cared for dogs my entire life. I just lost my last dog -- Mike was my world, I did everything with him ... we were best friends, and I miss him terribly. Dogs just provide me joy.
Reviews
Julie has great understanding of dogs and their personalities, My dog was well taken care of. Thank you Julie!
Julie was great! She took Ike hiking and on long walks and sent us updates along the way. He came back and slept for days!
Julie was hands on snd engaged with our dog from the minute we dropped her off. She went on daily adventures and sent photos.
Sky had a blast! Lots of outdoor time and long walks. She was a happy, tired dog when she came home. Julie took great care of our golden girl!

I live alone and if a dog was here, I would be here the entire time. I typically don't take more than two dogs, however.

Information Julie M. would like to know about your pet
I would want to know the dog's responsiveness to answer / return when I call, or whether the dog has a propensity to run off -- the nightmare scenario is if a dog in my care would accidentally run off or get lost! I would also like to know how energetic or "skittish" or nervous around strangers a dog is, and how well a dog gets along with other dogs. I would of course like to know some things about how well the dog is cared for -- whether rabies and other preventative shots have been administered, or whether anti-tick treatments have been applied. Of course I would like to know, what kind of regular food + treats are appropriate / not appropriate. If possible I HIGHLY recommend a pre-visit before a dog boarding. As a general rule, I do not board cats.
A typical day
There are several nearby parks that I used to bring my Chocolate Lab -- we have hours and hours of fun running and hiking there. There is a long unused road a block away where I take my dog Lucy for long walks, morning and night,

I'm currently working from home and can walk a dog during a lunch hour or after work. I live alone and can board a dog for short periods ... I'd prefer having a dog who likes to walk and hike, especially on weekends.
