Little Yellow House for small dogs

Pet care experience

Experienced pet-sitter welcomes smaller dogs to our warm and friendly home. (we can only accommodate toy & small dogs) We have no dogs of our own, so our pet-visitors get lots of attention. Our yellow house is small, but clean with a fenced yard in a great neighborhood. We're close to a park, so it's a favorite destination on our walks. My husband and I work from home - so there's rarely a time when we aren't home with your pet. We have no children, so it's just us two. Our pet guests settle-in quicker and enjoy our routine because they get so much attention. We always invite our guests to go for car rides if we have a quick errand. Special care, medications, certain foods; all are handled according to your instructions. We are experienced and can handle most emergencies. We are tuned-in to your pet and his or her behavior, so if there's an existing health problem, and we know what to watch for, we will alert you or your vet if necessary. If you need us to take your dog to a vet appointment - we can arrange it. If you are planning to travel out of town, or, if you'd like your dog to have some company while you are at work - give me a call so we can arrange a meet-and-greet. Your peace of mind is important, and your dog will sense that. References available - full-time pet-sitter since 2009. Reliable & professional. Services Offered: Doggie Day Care in my home - $25 per day/per dog Boarding in my home - $40 per overnight/per dog Veterinarian appointment - $20 per trip Discounts for Active Military, Firefighters and Police Officers - contact me to learn more! About this sitter: I'm a graphic designer working from my home studio in Royal Oak. I've been a professional pet sitter since 2009. I've always had dogs, but now we just enjoy those who come to visit. Why I love dog sitting I grew up with dogs and they were naturally part of our family. Now that I have no dogs of my own, I especially love them as house guests. Meet my pets We have no pets of our own, so we give your dog the attention he'll love. All the dogs who stay with us are well-behaved, so if we do have another dog visitor, you can be sure they are good company. Most dogs just want to be with their family - they like the company, and so do we. Since we work from home, our guests are seldom alone. If your dog likes car rides, we'll take them on errands and include them in our activities. They will feel included and adjust to the new surroundings quickly. Our neighborhood is quiet without heavy traffic. It's close to a nice park with lots of room to run and fenced tennis courts where we often go to run off-leash and play ball or fetch. Because we care about your dog's safety and your peace of mind while you are away, we place ID tags on your dog with our phone number. We have never had an emergency, but if you dog ever got separated from us, we could find him quickly. About my yard My home and yard are small, so small dogs are most comfortable here. A favorite feature is our front porch where guest dogs can see everything in the neighborhood and watch the activities in our quiet Royal Oak neighborhood. My experience administering medication I have experience with elderly dogs and dogs who required medication. I am a master at the "pill disguise", or the "full-throat pill-drop". Most of all, I'm tuned-in to your pet and will reach you in the event there are any health issues. I am comfortable handling any health emergency.

Julie’s house is like home away from home. Your dog will love her and her yellow house. ;-) I am extremely comfortable whenever I leave my fur baby with her.

I could not have asked for a better place for my dog. Julie took such great care of my Maltese. I appreciated her daily updates and photos. I'm so glad I've found someone I can trust with my sweet pup. Thank you s

Julie was very welcoming with my Maltese in her home. As requested, she sent me a photo every day. She was more than accommodating & I was at ease, knowing my pup was in hands of a caring person.

Information Julie H. would like to know about your pet

Is your dog friendly with other dogs? Does he or she like to go for car rides? What kinds of things does he or she like to do for fun?…like to eat? Is he house-trained?

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks We live on a quiet street in Royal Oak, north of downtown. Walks around the neighborhood are pleasant and there's lots to explore. 3-block away is Waterworks Park where we can play ball on the grass, or use the tennis court enclosure for off-leash activities. Your dog's sleeping arrangement If your dog has a favorite bed, bring it with you. If he or she is accustomed to sleeping on the bed, we welcome it. Time I'll spend with your dog Because I work from home - your pet is rarely alone. If I have a quick errand, to the drive-thru bank window, and your dog likes car rides, that's part of the routine also. On several occasions I have taken dog guests to meetings with me to pet-friendly clients who enjoy meeting a new dog.
