Pet care experience
I have always been an animal lover. My first pet was a parakeet, named Peanut, which I got when I was 3. From there, I took a relatively giant leap to my first pony, named Cinnamon. I have over 12 years of experience caring for horses and cattle as well as cats and dogs. Due to my brother’s allergies while growing up, the only way I could get time with animals was by taking care of them for others at their homes. We eventually got a family dog, an overly smart Beagle, named JayCee. I trained JayCee as well as my 2 horses, Cinnamon and Cooper. I have continued to pet sit throughout the years for professors in the College Station area, neighbors back home, and friends I have made from various classes during my college career. Lastly, I majored in Biomedical Sciences and took many animal science courses, which in combination with my hands-on experience, puts me in an impeccable position to care for your fur babies when you are unable.

Julie was absolutely amazing! She was very responsive and sent pictures to me. Took great care of the dogs. Went above and beyond and brought my one dog to the vet when he was acting out of sorts so it didn’t have to wait until the next day. If you want someone very responsible watching your pets I’d recommend her.
Our English Mastiff Lila loves being spoiled by Julie. I loved seeing the daily updates with photos and video of our girl. It was so nice to be able to attend our sons wedding worry free.
Julie took such good care of our Lila. She spoiled her and sent me lots of pictures of our girl. I was able to enjoy my weekend away knowing that Julie was taking care of Lila just like she would her own pet. I am sure Lila can’t wait for Julie to come back. I will have to plan another trip soon.
So glad that we connected with Julie! She took such good care of our dogs, home, and plants. She's our new go-to sitter, we are already planning on booking her for our next trip. Thanks for everything, Julie!

I rescued my cat, Beta, formerly known as Beta Fish, from Bryan Animal Shelter 5 years ago. She does not play well with others and is fortunate to be an only fur “child”. I am more than willing to travel to take care of animals multiple times a day at their homes. In the past, I have taken care of puppies that required overnight care and am willing to stay the night to do so. Same has gone for anxious dogs that are used to having someone at home. For shorter time periods, I would love to get your fur babies out for a quick stroll around the block or around the nearest park.
Information Julie H. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog have a special ritual? A special tree that they must go to? Are there any other histories I should be aware of prior to an outing?
A typical day
I like to find peaceful areas that are away from most traffic such as strolling around campus after classes let out and the Lake Walk area surrounding the Stella Hotel. I enjoy challenging dogs mentally by asking them to do simple commands(sit) and teaching new ones, if they are willing to learn!
