I have had dogs just about my entire life and simply adore them! They're funny, happy, awesome creatures, and yes, they really do smile! I tend to have more dealings with larger dogs but have combined experience caring for both small and large dogs. I used to frequently dog/house sit for a co-worker who had smaller dogs and had a roommate at one time with multiple small dogs that I used to help care for as well. I currently work from home so my hours are somewhat flexible. On an average day, I'm usually home except for the times I'm running the taxi service for my 2 kids to and from school! I do believe in taking dogs for rides, so unless you feel otherwise about it, your dog would accompany me in my SUV on these trips to and from school. I absolutely adore dogs but my husband isn't ready to get another dog yet since our dog passed away a few years back. This is a solution for me that helps combine me being able to spend time with great loving dogs & help them get the care they need when their owners can't be there with them & ultimately help me supplement my income. My kids are always asking me about getting another dog & this would also fill their void of not having a great dog to spend quality time with. I actually did spend time dog sitting for a couple of friends of mine in the past when they would go on vacations, etc. so I do have experience with this and would possibly even consider traveling to others homes if the situation were something I was able to work out. Week days are better for me at this time but again, would consider weekends were the situation right. In all fairness, I do have a cat, so I would have to make sure the dog was cat friendly. In our home, our pets are family, not just furry 4-legged animals and your dog would be treated exactly the same way! I love having a lap dog, whether it's 5 lbs. or 75 lbs. and look forward to spending quality time with your loving pet today! Also, in the past my dog would sleep at the foot of my bed, so unless otherwise indicated, your dog would be ok sleeping there too.
