Pet care experience
I am 31 years old and live in the East End in Portland, ME. I am responsible, dependable, active, and fun! Dogs have been an important part of my life from a young age. I have many years of experience caring for family dogs and dog sitting for friends and neighbors. I have been dog sitting and dog walking through Rover for about 4 years. I have a non-traditional work schedule (I do NOT work full time, 9-5) so I have lots of chunks of time throughout the week. I am happy to accommodate any specials needs that your dog may have. Although I do not have a dog myself, I am fortunate that I still get to play with many friends' and neighbors' dogs. I also spend time with my parent's dog, Pascal, frequently. Pascal enjoys playing ball, exploring new trails, and getting belly rubs. I will shower your dog in love and affection :) You can feel safe and confident that your dog is in good hands. I also like to send photo updates to assure you that everything is going well. I look forward to meeting you and your pup-- I know we'll have fun! Julie is fantastic! Our 100 lb Bernedoodle is a LOT of dog to handle, and Julie was so accommodating and unfazed by his his big energy. Bruce got lots of walks, spent thanksgiving in a lovely home, and we got plenty of photo and text updates. He was clearly well cared for. We highly recommend Julie — she is the nicest!!
Julie was absolutely amazing with my dog Tate who can be a bit of a handful and isn’t good with other dogs. She was very responsive, flexible to meet our schedule, and sent us daily updates with photos on how he was doing. It was so great knowing that Tate was in good hands while we were away and I would 100% reccomend Julie to anyone looking for a sitter.
Julie took great care of Figaro! Kept him happy and busy, becoming a part of our extended family in doing so! Would recommend her in a minute! Will continue to use her services without question.
Julie was a great sitter for our dog Penny. Penny can be a little fearful with new people, but warmed right up to Julie. Julie was easy to communicate with and regularly sent us pictures that showed a happy, relaxed dog. It was great to be away on vacation and have the peace of mind that Penny was having a good time too.

I live in an apartment in a safe neighborhood in the East End. I have two roommates who live upstairs and are also dog lovers. I will be sure to take your dog out regularly and get as much exercise as needed. If I stay in your home, I assure you that I am very responsible, clean, and considerate.

Information Julie F. would like to know about your pet
I prefer shorter haired dogs that do not shed a ton (a little is totally fine!). The dog should be ok with being at home for 7-8 hours at a time (this would be very rarely, typically more like 2-5 hours). I am not able to care for dogs that are aggressive towards new people.
A typical day
I love to walk around the prom and also know of various trails close by (such as the Presumscot river!) If you dog gets along well with other dogs, I would be happy to take them to my parent's house in North Yarmouth where there is plenty of space and nature.

Availability
I have a non-traditional schedule (I work in a tasting room and teach yoga), so I typically have chunks of free time in the mornings, days, and eves. I do not work a full 40 hour week. There may be rare times that I would have to be away from home for 7-8 hours at a time, but typically it would be more like 2-5 hours.
