Work from Home- Love & Play all day

Pet care experience

Dogs have always been a huge part of my life! Whether they’ve been travel buddies with me, valued members of the family, or trusted companions through difficult times, they’ve always given so much to me. Now, it’s my turn to give back to them! Their giving spirit has always inspired me to do whatever I could to make animals happy, so being a dog sitter truly is a dream come true for me. I love to be around animals and help them thrive, but I also love helping owners in need out as well! There’s just nothing like having the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your best friend is in good hands. My home is very accommodating to dogs. Firstly, since I work from home, I’m able to be with your pooch for the entire day! That means that I’m here to make sure that your pup has all the freedom they need to thrive. After all, no one wants to crate up their pup during the day, so it’s my pleasure to give them the space to roam and have fun! Likewise, I’m very flexible when it comes to scheduling, so I’m always happy to work with you and your pup on providing the best experience possible. Lastly, I live with my husband and daughter who are just huge dog lovers! There will always be someone around to make sure your pooch has tons of love and affection. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all.

Love Julie!!! Clara is a skiddish dog whos not very good with sttrangers but we saw Clara blossom with Julie over the course of a week! She was able to hold and pet Clara in ways that we couldnt get her to! Julie was great with her and was really open with issues and how to handle them, as well as sending so many photo updates!

Julie is great with my pets, a dog and a cat. Every time my dog hears or sees her, he lights up and does a whole body wag as he runs to her. I fully trust her with my animals, so she keeps my spare apartment key so if I have to stay late at work or need someone to check on them, she is always willing to help. She absolutely loves and cares about animals and I feel she would be a great addition to the Rover team.

Some have called her "dog's best friend." Some have called her the next Cesar Milan. I know it sounds far-fetched, but it's TRUE! Julie is a great friend and I know first hand how much she loves dogs. She's very responsible and can handle many harry situations, adhering to general training and discipline. Dogs also love her! She's so paws-itive and you can tell a dog will instantly wag his or her tail when Julie is around. Shes had many dogs herself so whether you're furry friend is a bundle of joy or more on the ruff side, with Julie, you're definitely barking up the right tree.

Julie came by my apartment while I worked long shifts to take my dog out and check on my cats, as well as refill their water and give them a little love. She would always text me when she was done, send photos, and update me on her progress with my most shy cat. I found her very reliable, friendly, and trustworthy.

Information Julie D. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? - What’s your preferred method of communication? - Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? - Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? - Is your dog spayed/neutered? - Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? - What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? - What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

We’ll never be short on adventures! My house is located in a great neighborhood (Glenbrook) that has tons of amazing things to go and explore. Firstly, there’s a creek that borders my neighborhood that is perfect for exploration. I love to bring pups here and walk along the side of the creek; it’s just so serene! My home is perfect for dogs as well because we have a big backyard to play in. In the summertime, we even have a kiddie pool that we fill up for pups that want to take a dip! Otherwise, it’s the perfect place to stretch out and find that perfect sunbeam.
