Full-Time Sitter

Pet care experience

I do like to note my drop off and pick up hours first thing because these don't always work for every one. I also will note any vacation or closed dates here so they're easy to find. DROP OFF & PICK UP APPOINTMENTS Drop-offs and pick-ups are schedule by appointment within the following windows of time. We do not take appointments outside of these windows so please keep the times in mind when scheduling your booking. Sunday: 4:30-6:30 PM Mon thru Fri 7:30-9:30 AM, 4:30-6:30 PM Saturday 7:30-9:30 AM Although I board over the holidays, I do not schedule pick ups and drop offs Thanksgiving Day & the day after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I may also limit hours on other holidays as needed. Closed for Vacation: 03/09/24-03/16/24 04/13/24-04/15/24 08/18/24-08/24/24 DAILY CARE I pet sit full time so your pet will get lots of personal attention and playtime. I also provide dog walking services and home drop in visits so I may be gone 1-2 hours for weekday midday visits and the other odd appointment outside the home but the majority of my day is set aside to focus on the boarding and daycare pups. I work hard on scheduling so I can maximize the amount of play time for everyone each day and that's why my drop off and pick up schedule is so structured. We have a fairly consistent schedule every day although it will vary a little depending timing of drop off/pick up appointments and dog walks. We are up at 6 for a potty break and breakfast. We will generally stay in until about 8 AM when we head out for some outdoor play. Outdoor play is always closely supervised but is usually pretty loosely structured unless a guest is super anxious or supe high energy. In those cases, I'll set time aside for some one on one play, training, or just some extra snuggles. We come in for lunch and midday nap at 11:30. I'll set the guests up with a comfy secure for a play break and nap while I get my lunch and take care of any scheduled dog walks. I'm back no later than 2 PM and then we are out for afternoon play time which ends about 5 when I bring everyone in for dinner. We will go out for some quieter play and potty breaks throughout the evening with lights out at 10 PM. MEET AND GREETS Meet and greets at the boarding home are required before booking a stay. It provides you with an opportunity to see where your pet will be spending their time and to cover any questions that you may have. It also provides us the opportunity to meet your pet evaluate how well they'll fit in with our setup. During that time, we will be observing for comfort level and socialization. Meet and greets need to be scheduled advance so I can work them in to my day. VACCINATIONS Proof of standard vaccinations are required (Rabies, DAPP, and Bordetella) and should be provided at the meet and greet or previously messaged as a document photo. SLEEPING & PLAY We strive to make every guest feel comfortable and at ease. Your pup will be treated with the loving care that they are used to having and will have free run of the house unless we are not at home. For safety, we either separate them into different rooms or potentially may crate depending on the needs of the dog and whether they are crate trained. Play time and group behavior is closely supervised. If any dog shows signs of aggression, they will be separated for the remainder of their stay and will not be able to return. UPDATES We provide daily photo updates. We will send at least one update a day but it may be multiple updates throughout the day. It just depends a bit on the weather and scheduling for each day. Please feel free to check in anytime throughout the day and we will let you know how your pet is doing. We generally cut messaging off after 8 PM and respond to any missed messages after 7 AM the next day. FURNITURE Visiting dogs have full access to furniture and beds unless they have restrictions at home. Just advise us during the meet and greet of your preference. FOOD All dogs are separated at mealtime to avoid any food aggression and to ensure that everyone eats only the meal allocated to them. Please bring only the amount of food needed for their visit in a sealable, labeled container. MEDICATIONS We will administer any medications as instructed. Please make sure all medications are labeled clearly and written instructions for dosages are included. BELONGINGS You are welcome to bring any belongings that will make your dog feel more at home but nothing is required but we do encourage you to bring the minimum necessary since storage space is limited. We ask that all belongings be clearly marked with the pet’s name so we can be certain that they are returned to you at the end of the stay. We will make every effort to make sure all belongings are returned to you clean and in good condition. Please be aware that toys and beds will be exposed to other dogs and may be damaged, destroyed or lost so please do not bring any valuable or sentimental items. We have plenty of bowls on hand that are sterilized daily so, unless your dog feeds from a slow feeder, there is no need to bring their own bowls. BATHS We do restrict the dogs from playing in the mud on rainy days so they should be coming home relatively clean without a bath. However, we offer a bathing service if you would prefer to have your pet returning home smelling fresh and sparkling clean. Generally, due to time constraints, we have to schedule baths the evening prior to their pick up but we try to do those closer to pick up time if possible. $20-$35 depending on weight LEASHED All dogs must be leashed upon arrival and pick up.

Julie’s the best. She’s been watching our pups for almost 7 years now and takes great care of them!

By far, Julie is the best sitter we’ve found in the area who treats our dogs as if they’re her own. I continue to recommend her to friends and family who are looking for an attentive sitter to keep the dogs happy, stimulated, and well cared for.

Julie has taken care of our dogs and they have always been so happy and well taken care of. Her daily photos are my favorite and make me smile when we have to be away from our sweet girl. We go to Julie every time we have a trip.

Although dogs have free run of the house and yard while I'm home, all are separated in different rooms or crates for meals and when I'm not home. I do try to provide as much outdoor playtime as possible in my large fenced in yard with frequent indoor breaks to cool off or warm up, depending on the weather. For inclement weather days, I do have a covered outdoor potty area large enough for outdoor play and plenty of open play space indoors.

A typical day

The majority of our play time is here at home in our large yard. The dogs have a blast playing together and get plenty of opportunity to do so. I have Chuck-its on hand for those that have a love of playing fetch, a puppy pool (very popular) for those hot days, and lots of hard chew and tug toys for play time.

This is my fulltime job so visiting dogs get my full attention during their stay. This allows me to provide lots of individual attention including cuddles and playtime. We start each day with an early potty break around 6 AM and then in for breakfast. While everyone is separated for meals, I'll get my shower and my own breakfast. This gives everyone time to finish their meal and let it settle before we head back out for morning playtime. We have quiet time generally for an hour to two midday while I do some dog walks and get my lunch and then we are back out for afternoon play. Dinner is usually a little on the early side around 5 PM with another quiet time break while I get my own dinner. Then we are back out for evening play. Lights out is usually around 10:00 PM.
