Pet care experience
Here is a little bit about me and why your special one would be in good hands. I have a natural love for animals and enjoy spending time with them, especially outside having fun! Prior to working for Rover, I have experience walking dogs and house-sitting for both dogs and cats. I have worked on-call for dog walkers at Fort Funston in the past with large groups of dogs, both on and off leash. I have also worked as a pet sitter for Planet Pooch doing in-home services for dogs and cats, as well as dog walking. I grew up owning my own dogs and cats which were always thought of and treated as family members. I have experience with and am comfortable around all sizes and breeds of dogs and I understand canine body language. My intention with each job is to give one-on-one focus, attention, warmth, and love to the animal for which I'm caring. I also adore cats and love taking care of them. Julie is, by far, the best sitter we've ever had. She's an excellent communicator, genuinely cares about our pets, and sends us pictures every day. Julie is also a lovely person who is easy to talk to. She managed to get to know our neighbors and even arranged a play date for our dog with a neighbor who has two huskies. She sent us videos of the play date, and I can tell that my dog had a blast. We will definitely use Julie next time we're out of town. She's the best!
Julie was a lifesaver for us! One day during the crazy storms we had to leave and needed someone to just come check on the pups. She was glad to help and was super communicative and helpful. We were so thankful and look forward to when we can book her again!
Julie has a very bright and friendly personality and I could immediately tell she is an animal lover. She watched my two senior dogs and young cat for two nights in my home. Breed, age, level of activity and what daily exercise regime they are used to, eating schedule, and bathroom schedule. Any relevant issues with other dogs, toys, food, strangers, or mailmen. Past training and what commands you use. It is also helpful to know what level of re-call your dog has and if they tend to be pullers when on-leash. Off-leash walking can only be done with 100% re-call.
A typical day
I love the outdoors and I am more than happy to go to the neighborhood park, beach, or local trail for a walk or to play ball. In Bay Area, most neighborhoods have great areas close by to do this. I have a chuck-it on-hand for those who love to retrieve! Depending on location and proximity to beaches, parks, and trails, walking extensively on-leash through the neighborhood is always a good option.

I am currently working in addition to Rover, but my schedule is fluctuates so I am able to be flexible and make adjustments to my schedule which enables me to always give my full and undivided attention to each sit.
